The Sims 3 keeps crushing

So I bought 2 new expansion packs a few days ago. I enter the game and play something like 5 minutes and the the screen just turning black and after few seconds the computer asking me if I want to send an error report and that "The Sims 3 had to close. If you were in the middle of something it didn't save it".

I have custom content installed and I don't think that its the problem.

My computer is PC , Windows XP Pro , Video card- 512 MB , Processor 3.2 GHz , Memory 4 GB , Hard disk 520 GB.

From what I understand there shouldn't be any problems with the game.

I did everything. I installed and uninstall and game several times , I looked in the internet if it only happens to me and from what I saw its happening to a lot of people. 

I love playing the Sims and I don't want to stop playing. Please fix this problem or tell me how to fix it because I just can't deal with it anymore. Im so sick of it. Please help me 😕mileymad: 😕mileysad: 😕mileyfrustrated:

    Your CPU is fine, your RAM is ok for the 32 bit OS you have but with games you've played for a while, the game usually starts to have issues cause it uses more RAM than you have.

    Your graphics card is underpowered according to this: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_System_Requirements. Also the drivers are from March. Nvidia had quite a few upgrades on their cards although that might not apply to XP.

    Is this a new game you're playing or have you been playing it for a while ?

    My dad is going to the store on Thursday to buy me a new graphics card. I believe it will solve the problem.

    Make sure you get one that still works with XP. XP Support is being shut down soon so it's possible that newer cards have issues with XP.
