The sims 3 launcher says "no disc is found" after installing it through origin

I had to uninstall the sims 3 disc version because my cd/dvd wouldn't read any cd anymore. So I used the code from the manual and installed it through origin then did the manual patch update to 1.67 ...

I wondered that too so I tried installing it like a download origin says "this code has already been used".

Does ambitions show up under i on the base game and did you download from there ?

    Yes but right now I'm uninstalling ambitions and re-downloading it to see if that works.
