- Do you have any existing games you could try ?
- Do you have a switchable card in your computer ?
- Did you have ANY issues at all before installing the new patch ?
Gave you XP for the very detailed error report. Wish everyone would post like you.

Thank you. 🙂
My computer plays all other games just fine. By switchable card do you mean graphics card? Its a high performance graphics card, Nvidia GeForce 285 I *think*, can't say for sure at the moment. And no I didn't have any issues before installing Seasons and the new patch. The game was running wonderfully before. I have a few more things to try to get it working before I absolutely am out of ideas. I'll see if it will run on my laptop at all (32 bit, not Nvidia), then I will try installing only the base game and Seasons on my desktop and see if I get the same issue or not. And I will also test if Installing all my games then the 1.42 patch gives me the same error I've been getting when trying to run Seasons.
-I can uninstall everything, then re-install everything but Seasons and the game will work just fine.

Im having the same problems,
I have just bought the game today - Supernatural works smoothly, but when i load up Seasons, Boom, get to the choose a town screen, i choose a town and then it stops working, it gets to about 98% loaded then i get the 'The sims 3 has stopped working' i cant even play the game :/
What could the problem be, is it worth Uninstalling then re-installing :/
It's horrible, such a waste of time when it dosent work. I have removed all my mods and everything and still, nothing :/

@chalavange:
- By switchable card I do mean the graphic card. What I mean is if you have a graphic chip as well as a card and if the game might be using the wrong one all of a sudden (although I think that is rather unlikely if it just seasons that is giving you trouble.
With existing games I mean pre-seasons save games. Can you run those and just not new ones or can't you run those either ?

It's best to make your own thread.
Have you tried all the stuff here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Game-Crashes-CTD/td-p/656/ ?
- What is your operating system
- At what point does your game crash ? Any regularities ?
- How long can you usually play ?
- Which EP/SPs do you have installed ?
- Are you using custom content and mods in your game ?
- It's also good to include your DxDiag: https://help.ea.com/article/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information
