The Sims 3 Service initialization failed (0x0175dcbb)

So here's my problem. I've been using The Sims for a long time (all the way from double deluxe) and I've hardly ever had any problems. However, recently I switched to my first ever Mac computer (MacBook Pro with Retina) and my Sims 3 wouldn't download. I was excited when I downloaded Origin and realized all my Sims 3 products had been saved and only needed to be downloaded. However, as it appeared, the base game didn't need to be downloaded again so I just clicked the play button. Instead of seeing any semblance of a launcher like normal I got an error code (Service initialization failed (0x0175dcbb)). I'd prefer to be able to play as quickly as possible. Please help!
