@Hyluss What item is it?
For the other error, try clearing Edge's Internet Explorer data. Even if you never use Edge, let alone IE mode, the Sims 3 launcher does for some purposes.
The item is "Country Life" but it doesn't matter what item. There is a problem connecting the starter program with the Internet. It was broken for more people in December, I don't know if others have the same problem now again or if I just have this problem.

@Hyluss It's called the launcher, and I haven't seen any other reports of it being broken in the last couple weeks. So it's most likely an issue on your end.
It would be whether clearing Edge's IE-mode data helps, and if not, whether a new user folder fixes it. The idea is not to delete your content but to test in a new folder.

Can you tell me more about this solution?

@Hyluss Remove or rename the Sims 3 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts. Either one will prevent the game from reading the contents of the folder, but all its data will still be intact. Clear Edge's IE-mode data (again). Open the launcher to spawn a new Sims 3 folder, and try to download Country Living again. Let me know whether it works, and what happens if it doesn't, and also whether you see any other issues.
There is a way to combine the Store content from the old and new folders, if you're interested. But if you only own a few items, it would be simpler to reinstall your Store content into the new folder, and it's also more reliable. Still, the first step is to figure out whether you can get Country Living installed at all.
