The Sims 3 Worlds Won't Install

Yesterday, I downloaded the Sims 3 Roaring Heights Gold Edition on my Mac Book Pro through the EA App and after I payed, I thought I was able to install it but what happens is that when I click on the install buttons, nothing happens. When my house hovers over the other buttons, the buttons disappear and I can't interact with them. I have to close the launcher because of that. When I reopen the game launcher, Roaring Heights does not show up and when I try to download again, the same issues repeat. At this point I am so lost. I even uninstalled the Sims 3 with all my EP's and SP's and the store content I have downloaded and even after that, I still have the same issues☹️

At this point I don't know what else to. I'm not very tech savvy but I wish Origin still existed. Thank you and have a good day🙂

  • @Biancofrost  First, please go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 and move the Downloads folder to the desktop.  This will remove, but not delete, any Sims3Pack files you've previously downloaded.  It will NOT delete content you've already installed through the launcher, only the files used to install in the first place.

Open the launcher's Downloads tab, download a fresh copy of Roaring Heights, and wait until the thumbnail changes to an image of RH rather than a box.  Close the launcher and reopen it.  Then try to install RH.  You may not see anything happening, but if there's a second plumbob in the Dock, that's the launcher's installer, and you can click it to see the installer itself.  Please do so, and let me know whether RH installs properly.

Hi puzzlezaddict, I hope you're still active here.
I have a similar issue, but when I follow your steps and the second plumbob opens in the Dock, it's not the installer but just the complete launcher itself again. When I tried to install store content before, it worked perfectly with the installer starting, but now I'm trying to install Roaring Heights, thus a much larger item, and I'm not sure what else I can try. Any idea would be much appreciated 🙏
