There was a Problem... See the Log for details,,,

NO LONGER CAN PLAY SINCE SOME LEGACY UPDATE (Think some shop/store combo deal? Either way (Sims 1, 2, and 3 combo))

Old  solutions do NOT WORK for me. NOTHING DOES.  Also, any Origin version no matter what forces me to EA App so using Origin temporarily even isn't possible.

72 hours played almost 73, now nothing.

Cleaned Registry entries of Straggler Sims3 anything.
I have no other straggler Sims 3 files or folders ANYWHERE that I can find.

Reinstalled after Uninstalled - No help.
EA App.

Grrr. No, I don't have Sims 3 bought on my Steam yet ~ and I should NOT need to for a problem caused from EA's own end anyways; so I can't check that to see if it gives me the same "message"

And before someone tells me to See the Log, it is Non-existent. There is NO log to check.

Uninstalled for now since it's just a digital paperweight of space that does NOTHING besides hog Gigabytes now.
How long has my gave stopped being playable now? A year or more...

  • nfsrpfan  If you'd like help getting the game running, let me know.  There's no reason Sims 3 shouldn't work on current hardware or in Windows 11.

If you do want to reinstall, it's simpler to do so through the EA App, that is if Sims 3 is showing in your game library.  Sure, there are advantages to an all-disc install, but it sounds like you get the prompt to use Origin, which means there's no getting around the EA App, so going directly through the App has no downside for your setup and also means fewer points of failure.

Anyway, if and when you want to reinstall, temporarily disable your antivirus first.  As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe, and you can reenable the AV after you've tested the game for the first time.
