TS3W.exe not closing

After 30 minutes to an hour of game play my screen will freeze and my game will close, but it continues to run in the background in task manager? It wont exit out using End Process and I will have to...

    Those were the main repeating crashes for the past day or so. I managed to downgrade my nvidia driver to version 334.89. I also switched to fullscreen mode and changed my windows scheme from aero to Windows Classic, I played for around a hour or so with no crashing or freezing and I was able to exit the game successfully. It did cut to a black screen briefly [twice] but otherwise everything seems to be running alot better ^^

Post the Crash Details:

Start -> type "Reliability" -> View Reliability History -> Find Crash -> Right Click -> View Technical Details

If you want to install different nvidia drivers, all you need to do is uninstall them from Control Panel (there are multiples, get them all, the main one is the one for display)

Restart

Install the package of drivers you want.  Don't use Windows updates for GPU drivers.  ((windows will auto-install drivers on a restart unless it is disabled, DDU makes disabling this easy))

Display Driver Uninstaller (used after you fully uninstall your drivers from Control Panel for best/safest use)  This can fix corrupted driver files that stick around even after uninstalls/reinstalls.

It would be like this:

Uninstall all nVidia drivers from Control Panel

Restart to Safe Mode  (running DDU can make this easier, as it will do it for you)

Run DDU in Safe Mode, remove nVidia

Restart

Install nVidia package  (latest is best in most all cases)

Turn the graphics settings all the way down in Sims3.  Disable/Uncheck any settings you can.
