Unable to connect to EA download manager

I have been trying to play TS3 for about 3 weeks now. I have updated my game to 1.67 and it is still giving me problems. Now, it is telling me it cannot connect to the EA download manager. Whenever I click okay to close the box out and try to actually play the game the screen goes away. Please help!!!

    I am having the same problem too. I am signed into my sims 3 homepage I don't understand it. I wasn't given an option to sign into my EA manager.
