You're probably getting something like this:

I have a resolution for this problem. It happens after changing the email address on your account.
What happens is that you already have a file called ChallengeData.package
When you change the email address that is connected to your account, a second ChallengeData.package file gets generated causing confusion because both files seem to get paged at the same time.
So, you must remove the older ChallengeData.package.
1. Go to your game files.
2. Click on Downloads
3. You will see two folders with a long number as folder names.
- One folder will have a ChallengeData.package in it by itself.
-The other folder will have 2 files: ChallengeData.package and PassportData.package.
-The folder with 2 files in it contains your older ChallengeData.package file. Cut that file and paste it to a new folder on your desktop and name it something like backup for launcher.
4.Select ALL files in your downloads folder that begin with dynamicchallenge and the .bin file with your current email address ex: youremail@service.com.bin. Cut and paste these to the new folder on your desktop. If you see a file with your old email address in your downloads folder. Delete that file.
Restart your launcher.
Tada!
This seems to be the ONLY way to eliminate this problem so far.
OMG!! Thank you so so much. This fixed my launcher! In my downloads folder; there were two email address files showing.
- I removed the file labeled with my old email address that I was no longer using for Origin or The Sims 3 from the folder entirely.
- I cut my long number file that contained both the files labeled: ChallengeData and Passport Data and moved it to my desktop.
- I cut every file containing the words dynamicchallenge, BIN and the FSI View Count Tracking File from the downloads folder and put them into the folder I had previously cut from downloads and moved to my desktop.
- After I had made sure I grabbed all files; I moved the new long number file back to my downloads folder.
- I restarted my launcher and for the first time in a year;
NO MORE ERROR MESSAGE!!!!!!!
I almost fell off my chair I was so excited. It worked. This is the solution. I did change my email address. Thank you so very much! Origin now shows that I played The Sims 3 for 6 hours also and it wasn't showing that I even was playing the game anymore.
My launcher not telling me that it is "Unable to Connect to Origin" is a huge lifesaver and a blessing! I can't thank you enough!

Hey so my Sims3 launcher wont let me log in, I have deleted cahed data from both IE and firefox, removed the FSI and .bin files and my email file and am about to restart my computer, I really hope this works. I also removed the 2 folders that were named a long number, and put them on my desktop in case they were needed. But what "new" long number were you referring to?
