Unable to install The Sims 3 from EA app

Hi, if anyone can assist me with this issue,

I am getting this error code every time I am trying to install The Sims 3:

error the vc++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue. (-2147024703)

The installation gets up to 97% and then provides this error. I have already tried uninstalling the Microsoft Visual C++ from 2005 x64 and installing the x86, yet nothing has happened.

I also used another method with appwiz with the .NET Framework, and nothing happened either. 

Anyone got any idea how to solve this?

    kay-lunas  Sorry for the late reply; it looks like your post was moved here from somewhere else.  Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the 2015-2022 VC++ runtimes instead.  Sims 3 doesn't use them, but the EA App does, and sometimes reinstalling these runtimes gets around a hang on install like this.

    It sounds like you already know how to do this in general, but please make sure you uninstall every runtime from 2015 or newer, and that you install both 2022 runtimes (x86 and x64), which you can find here:

    Restart after installing and before trying to play.
