Unable to use Date Night code with Origin purchased copy of Sims 3

Question

So I picked up the starter pack last weekend and according to my Sims3.com account page I have successfully registered the base game, Late Night and High End Loft. However, when I try to activate Date Night with the code provided in the same Origin order through the redemption page, it says that my account does not have Sims 3 registered to it.

According to the site, Origin should register the games automatically (in fact trying to register them manually fails). Is there something wrong with the registration system or is there some other page where I'm need to activate the games?

Go to http://www.thesims3.com and login to your account.
Click on the The Store tab in the menu bar at the top of the page.
Then click the My Store Account tab.
Click on the Green "+" icon sign across from Redeem a Code to expand that section, if it's not expanded already.
Enter your 16 digit code for your bonus content.
Accept the Digital Services Agreement and the Privacy Policy.
Click the green Redeem button.
