I copied the Sims 3 Ep’s and Stuff packs from Origin games will it load my expansions if I copy them from origin games to Sims 3 in Documents Electronic Arts Sims 3 folder! Last time I checked I literally thought oh wait yeah it’s loading only the base game because it only had the launcher files so I pasted the files from Origin games to Documents Electronic Arts Sims 3
@TDNFAN91 No, this won't work. The Sims 3 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts contains user data only, so saves, saved households and builds, mods and custom content, that kind of thing. It does not and isn't supposed to contain the game's program files, and when Sims 3 loads, it is not reading any program files in that location. If you do copy the pack folders to the Sims 3 user folder, the best that can happen is nothing, and the worst is that your game won't load at all.
Have you made sure all your packs are checked off in the launcher's Expansions & Stuff Packs tab? If not, please try that now, and if they're already checked, please uncheck and recheck the boxes.
If your packs don't show up in Expansions & Stuff, that's a different issue; let me know if this is the case.
I tried that yesterday the launcher loaded and everything was checked and it launched with the Sims 3 into the future so I did that and it worked
@TDNFAN91 I'm not sure what you're saying. Putting the game's program files in the user folder doesn't help at all under any circumstances.
Where do you have the game installed, as in, what's the location? If you're not sure, open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and write TS3W in the search box. When you see a copy of TS3W.exe, click on it and click "Open file location" in the menu, and you'll jump to a folder within the game's program files. Please post a screenshot of the contents of that folder, including the address bar above the list of files and folders.
