will sims 3 run offline

Hello i want to buy sims 3 from this website will it work without internet or it will require internet like steam i dont have internet access only in cyber cafe and i only want to play single 
pc

    This is only a key to be redeemed at Origin.

    I do think you can play the download version offline too but you need to download the whole game.
