Windows 7, 8 or 8.1?

I'm having a pc built (actually they started yesterday). Here's its specs;

Gigabyte Ultra Durable GA H97M Motherbd
1 TB Black Sata 3.5" HD
32 GB Corsair or Kingston HyperX (4X8GB) DDR3 ram
Intel I7 4790S Cpu
24X DVDRW drive
3GBNvidia GTX760 Video
MS Win 8.1 64bit Operating sys.

As late as I am since i already paid half on it, I am readong now about 8.1 not being compadible
with the games. I plan on buying all games meaning expansion packs and stuff packs. I had this Pc specifically built for the sims and possibly sims 4. To me its just stupid to go back to 7 with how far technology has come
since then. When the game first came out i was unable to play because of the computer didn't match up with the game. I'd hate for that to happen this time and I've paid alot of money for it. My question is have the problem with windows 8 been solved? I mean i will have windows 8.1 whats the difference?. Mind you if i call and say I want windows 8(for example) I would have to probably pay for it which will halt the building process. I wish I would've known about this issue prior to paying. I know my ram,graphics card (actuay it'll be 4gbs because the vendor didn't have 3gbs) and my processor should be good and it's 1TB. Hopefully I get a answer before they open. If I do what are slme things I can do once I get my computer (because itll be too late then if i don't recieve a answer early today). Also if they're building the computer the graphics driver should be up to date and I'm not doing all that just to play a game when it shouldn't be rocket science to play a simple game but yet it's giving everyone a difficult time. Anyways if anyone can answer me
that be good so maybe i could atleast get in contact before they put windows 8.1 in
