None of the workaround work for me. I had 4 different tables and placed the cake on all of them, in the middle, end, edge, whatever, the cut the cake with xxxx doesn't even show up, wedding topper or not. As soon as I make another activity like "feed xxxx cake" then the option to cut the cake pops up. Like?? What's the point of cutting the cake after the cake has already been cut?
This issue is more complicated right now because of the bug with merging families that are not in worlds.
Today I played and I was not able to merge the couple's family right at the marriage that took place in San Myshuno's Park, because one of them was not in a world. So I thought "never mind, I'll merge them later", but then, the groom I was controlling (groom #1) was not able to cut the wedding cake!
After trying everything, the only thing that worked was testingcheatsenabled on, and then shift click on the groom #2 and choose "add to family". He was added to the family. And then, groom #2 could cut the cake, and not groom #1!! go figure.....
