Yes, I have tried this with and without mods and cc and still see the issue.

I have not tried a new save. I'm pretty dedicated to my one save LOL

But i'll try a new save and see!

How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 2.01
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Eco Lifestyle / Horse Ranch / For Rent / Lovestruck Owned everything except the above.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? One of them will be mean to the other.
What happens when the bug occurs? Apology options won't go away
What do you expect to see? "Smooth apologies" should disappear.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I'm playing the console version.

I'm having the same problem and it's really troubling me.

In high school, A was at an age where she felt like being mean to her boyfriend B, so she was mean to him.

B felt some kind of emotion at that time. (Probably "undying grudge")

Even after this emotion disappeared, for some reason the "Smooth Apology" option still appeared on B's side, and A suddenly becomes mean to B. I think it's because the negative emotion remains. I want to solve this situation. I can't use mods because it's a console version. Please help.

Once "undying grudge" is created, the insults will continue even after the memory is erased. And they will keep apologizing to each other. Is this right? I'm tired of being a good couple and suddenly being mean to them. Is there a way to deal with this on console? I'm really stuck. Please help.

I wonder if this is related to the other bugs with stuck sentiments?

Apology should be available while there is a negative sentiment active. Apologizing reduces the sentiment's duration but doesn't eliminate it, so it's possible to have the option available repeatedly. But, it should disappear when the sentiment expires.

I think it has something to do with the sentiments bug.

I think the apologies and insults are happening because there are sentiments that do "undying grudge" in the internal data, so I would be happy if I could find a way to make those sentiments go away.
