[OPEN] Can't pick up Infant/ Toddler

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.96.365.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Bust the Dust
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure. Bug occured after infant gained several milestones in quick succession. I tell the parent to care for the infant and it fails.
What happens when the bug occurs? Parent gets the "I can't get there" notification when told to do any interaction with the infant that requires picking it up.
What do you expect to see? The parent care for the infant as directed.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I've tried teleporting the baby around the lot, moving things, hiding things, teleporting the baby just off lot where there's nothing but driveway.

I even pulled the bikes from everyone's invantory, thinking it might be that.  Nope.

The only thing in the infant's invantory is his glimmerstone.

I did not have this problem previously with the infant's older sister, who got the same milestones but not as quickly.  And the hall had almost the same layout (there was a baby play mat that I removed as part of trying to figure this out.

I can't even age him up.

I've also tried playing from the infant to ask for help.  Nothing.  He's tired, hungry, needs a diaper change and I can't do anything.  (even cheating to reset the sims and reset their needs doesn't help.)

And while I have used mods in the past, this save has been vanilla since I started it, and I haven't installed any mods (yet) since the update.  No mods, No CC.

I did find a last exception file from about when everything started to go wrong.  I'm not attaching it because this is my third time trying to post this blasted bug report.

    Just had this happen today with my sim's toddler. She autonomously placed her in the high chair, then couldn't "let out" and had a pathing error. Resetting the toddler got her out of the high chair, but she still couldn't be picked up by any of the other sims. There's no last exception. I tried multiple times over multiple sim days, but no matter which sim I used nor where I had them - even both out in the middle of the yard with nothing nearby - the adult would get a pathing error for any interaction that required picking up the toddler. I tried resetting the toddler and the high chair, but it didn't help. Finally traveled to the park and back, taking the toddler along. When they returned, she could be picked up again.

    Hey guys I can confirm this mod worked. I had the same issue and that mod corrected the concern. Happy simming!

    My game is completely updated and when I try to pick my toddlers up with my adult sims, they get the error thought that usually happens when there’s something blocking an item that I told them to use or when someone else is using an item that I told them to use. I have two toddlers and two parent Adult Sims and both are having the same issues. I even tried the reset sim cheat on both an adult and a toddler but I still wasn’t able to pick my toddler up. I can interact with them like hugging and telling a story but I can’t pick them up which means I can’t care for them.

    Hey, I play on a ps4 and have the same problem but with infants. Did you manage to fix the bug?
