[ARCHIVED] [HCHSP] Duplicate Batch Cook Dishes Have Wrong Interactions

I have the same issue except on Mac. It's really frustrating. I can get them to eat but they have to pick up a serving, which goes to their inventory and then from there can they eat the food.

I am here to add that it also happens on PC, so it's a bug that affects all users. I will leave you an sample screenshot.

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) - I should note that I have found a work around if I add the dish to my fridge, and select "get leftovers" - that being said, in this instance, I can't pick what my Sim will eat if I have a variety of dishes available.

I wonder what would it take to have this fixed? New pack bugs should be a priority ☹️

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a sim with the batch cook reward trait make a dish with prepped ingredients.
What happens when the bug occurs? The duplicate dish has the option to 'resume' the dish on it (if a sim has the appropriate cooking skill level to resume it). There is also no option to 'grab serving', only 'pick up serving' on the duplicate dish.
What do you expect to see? I expect that there should be no option to 'resume' dish on the duplicate dish you get with the batch cook reward trait and that sims have the option to grab a serving vs just the ability to 'pick up' serving.

Note that the options on the duplicate dish do differ depending on if the sim has adequate cooking skill. So toddlers and children only have the option to pick up serving vs grab serving, but obviously can't 'resume' cooking the item.

I tested with garden salad which is available to any teen and up, so any sims who were teen and up in the household had the option to resume the garden salad.

FYI, even the sim who has the batch cook trait has the option to resume on the duplicate/bonus dish (the more choices were just to put away & grab serving for the toddler, which is still available on the duplicate/bonus dish): 

Note that I moved my mods folder out of my The Sims 4 folder and deleted localthumbcache file before testing, so I was able to confirm that this also happened in a mod free game.

Thanks @GiardiniDiMarzo I did try to look for a report, as did another friend who had noticed the issue. I've been finding google search isn't as good as it used to be for finding bug reports!

What is your current game version number? I'm on the latest version, can't open it now to check the number.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Cook or bake something using Prepped Ingredients with the Batch Cook Trait
What happens when the bug occurs? The duplicate dish placed in the inventory by the Reward Trait does not give the option to Grab Serving. Only to pick it up and put into sack lunch, etc. 

If I click the dish using the Sim that cooked it, there is the option to Resume [Dish Name] but nothing happens if I choose that option, it cancels itself out in the queue.

This renders most duplicate dishes unusable.

What do you expect to see? I expect to see the "Grab Serving" option on the interaction menu of the duplicate dishes.

I have had this bug since getting the pack, but it seems more prolific now. Some duplicate dishes were usable and had the Grab Serving option, but now it seems most of them do not and my Sims can't grab servings of them.

Also there is an odd addition to this bug that I had before. My Sims had a kava bowl on a shelf in the kitchen. When I got the mom sim to try and resume cooking the dish, she somehow grabbed the kava bowl and appeared to pour something from it into the dish. It then acted as though she had cooked a fresh dish, I got another duplicate of the dish from Batch Cook, and my kava bowl disappeared so I had to purchase a new one.

This same error happens to me, I no longer see the point of completing the aspiration when the trait is practically broken and the duplicate food cannot be eaten by the sims
