Thank you for the advice, the link does seem very useful and someone who has mods installed and encounters a similar problem may benefit from it. However, I currently have no mods or CC in my game. I have this issue even after completely cleaning the “Electronic Arts” folder in the Documents, and deleting & re-downloading the game. ☹️

I have the same problem: I have never had any mods in The Sims 4, but the problem still exists.

I successfully completed Death's Favorite Flower but Flirting with Death quests will NOT appear after that, I even went into the UI and clicked on it, and last time I had that happen I clicked on it from the Event UI but it did not appear after the TV Premiere holiday like I expected. <Shakes head solemnly> I will reupload my save file and link it here. If you can get it to switch tasks to Flirting with Death, more power to you, just at least tell me how to do it. Others have suggested, "Oh well, it's because you missed a week" which is not true because I tried to catch an Angel fish for 2 weeks and that should have disappeared when that week passed but it was still there.

Update: My computer restarted without any warning and when I restarted the game, the same thing was true. Also there are tutorial quests that cannot be completed because my Sims went to the library and I told them to Go Home and the game says they are home but they did not get back to the house so I saved that in a new save file, so you're getting links to both.

I'm reconsidering buying the new pack because all of these problems between events and tutorial quests have left a bad taste in my mouth, because now my event save with my two Sims I've grown fond of is now ruined because they are stuck in limbo on their way home from the library.

Kasandra is in front, Alexis is back. Kasandra is the one who could research Ambrosia when Alexis could not. (From my earlier post) Doesn't matter now anyways because they're gone. Alexis was originally who I would kill if Summon Grim did not work with the Grimophone to get him to appear when I needed to interact with him. I grew fond of her though. They were in love for a second but when I thought their love bar was gone, it remained and now it is empty, (that might be a bug too) Kasandra now has (or had) a fear of being alone and is/was always tense. She needs a Fear Be Gone potion but is saving her points  for the Potion of Youth. But as my Grim event is busted too, does it matter now? I never turn aging off but I did just for the event.

Doesn't matter now though - no more event quests and no more Kasandra and Alexis. I was excited for the new pack and now I don't care. Not a good way to hype up packs, leave that to the Creator Network. I'd rather watch them play but now that this has happened. I don't even want to watch them play, same with the Live Stream, too angry to watch. And that was even before I lost my Sims. No more hype up events please. Next time, be kind and do an SDX drop.

If you can save them, I might not be so angry about this whole thing, If you don't try to make this right for everyone in the community, not just me, then you don't deserve my $40. I thought my money was going to Renee. Now I don't know where it's going. If my $40 pays for an hour of someone's time and work, then I would really like it to be on fixing issues you already have and not on buggy events that causes people's time to be wasted and Sims to be lost. RIP Kasandra and Alexis.

I couldn't even save the new versions of then on the Gallery because the versions on the Gallery have the wrong traits and missing skills somehow, By the way, I have no mods installed.

I just finished the last week of reapers rewards! It was a really fun event i do really expect more like this!

@Trentbaby96303 I am truly glad that the worked for you! However, this thread is for people like myself who had nothing but problems with the event and are truly displeased and want EA  held accountable for all of the issues because we are missing out on the rewards. If they are going to have events like this in the future, they need a lot  more planning and playtesting before they invite us to do things like this again. All of this  could and should  have been done by SDX drop and a friendly message. Now, people are missing rewards and Sims and Save Files have been interrupted or corrupted. I don't know if you have been following the thread. Messages about completing the event might make people feel bitter and angry. Many people, myself included, are reconsidering buying the Life & Death pack because of the problems with the event. People that might have been excited about helping Grim, are now saying, "Who cares?" If EA cared they would have done it by SDX Drop because this is exactly what it was designed for - dropping content on the fly!  If the event ends and people didn't get rewards and are mad or sad or both, they could say something like, we know everyone did not get the rewards due to technical difficulties but we know that Grim would want you to have them! Many people might be happy and thankful and it would make them feel excited for the new pack. but shelling out $40 USD for a pack after missing rewards is too much for some people. I live in my own place but I'm not well off so I had to ask my Mom for the money. I'd like to give my Mom her money back and invite her out to lunch or something. $40 USD would buy my niece a nice gift for the holidays or I could add it to her college fund. Even though I love this franchise, it will never surpass how much I love her. I think the failure of this event has caused a lot of Simmers to give up playing for a little while or permanently. I think some of us, including myself feel our money is misspent. I thought the money I spent was being used to develop Sims 5 aka Project Renee. Now where is it going? $40 might be the amount a developer works per hour. What does that developer do for that hour? I don't honestly know but it feels like they use only 5 minutes to think of the players and fix bugs. Let's look at some facts:

• It took them 8 years to realize that a Sim taking pictures should not make them automatically popular
• 10 years to figure out that they should put skill books in all libraries, not just in Willow Creek
• They made a very ugly hot tub for an anniversary
• They did not even acknowledge the game's 10th anniversary
• When Wedding Stories came out it was all but unplayable and they have a no refunds policy on DLC
• Same with High School Years - Your teen's grade would not go up unless you send them alone on exam days - I still don't think that's fixed
• If you're not James Turner, Journey to Batuu was an example of how not to do a crossover.
• The Detective Career is still broken
• 10 years no cars
• "Inclusivity" without wheelchairs, or crutches or walkers
• Mermaids are an afterthought
• They use movie magic to make trailers so a pack looks cooler than its actual gameplay
• The Creator Network is used as advertising by giving them packs early while we pay $40 and no one can break in because you have to have X amount of Followers. Are they even letting anyone in anymore?
• They let the Creator Network build or make content for new packs - I was going to suggest a contest should be held but they might play favorites there too.
• When anyone speaks out on the forums we get sanctioned or banned.   

I don't think you meant any harm and I don't mean to come down hard on you, it just comes down to wrong place wrong time so just be aware of what thread you are posting to. We are upset due to one weird mechanic in life: FOMO, Fear of Missing Out. We missed out on rewards due to a buggy event that leads up to taking $40 of someone's hard earned money, in this case, my Mom's and that makes me among others upset. I spent my birthday money on High School Years's Pre-order and if you don't pre-order you miss out on more items. I should know better as I took Advertising in college. I let my love of this game cloud my good judgement. 

Let me just say again that I am really happy for you as you are one of the first people I have seen or talked to that has finished it, so congratulations!

@PurpleSweetTartChill. This isn't the place to rant. If you don't want to help others, then at least don't to get in the way of others troubleshooting.

@PurpleCosmonauts First of all, I was helping people: They asked for evidence and save files and gave instructions for Google Drive and OneDrive. The fact is that using OneDrive puts your Sims files at risk. Like, I wrote, I found out the hard way and people in several discord channels had to rescue my files so they weren't completely lost..

Secondly, my so-called rant is a collection of facts that have been disseminated and discussed throughout the Sims Community since 4 came out. So this is nothing new. It's a pattern that will go on as long as we keep giving them our money. If you lost $40 you would try to rectify the situation as you are able. But you can't do that because of the no refund policy on DLC. I also was not happy with MWS but had no recourse.

I stopped playing for an entire year after I preordered HSY and essentially lost $40 and would not have returned to the game save for the fact that my doctor told me I couldn't work anymore and that it would be good to get in get back to things I once enjoyed and to find something new to learn. So I came back to Simming and took up loom knitting. 

 All I did with my last post is state facts so that people who might feel someway about the event or new simmers to know that this kind of thing happens a lot. You are free to fact check if you like. 

And all I said was that this was a place to discuss event issues and problems and not to announce that they had finished the event.

FOMO is a real thing and I just wanted people to know that they were not alone because even if I had enough days left to finish the event I couldn't because my Sims that had the skills and (finally) the ingredients were gone by becoming unplayable and were in limbo. You are very welcome to download my save files if you would like to see that my sims are indeed unplayable and you can't even tell them to care for themselves at home,so if you do download my save files and can help me get my Sims back, I would be humbled and in your debt. I'm awfully attached to them The Gallery version of them did not save their skills with them, which I thought they would. So even this debacle caused me to learn to be careful to check my Library/Gallery to see if a Sim's skills were saved with them.

You and I might not know if something is helpful until we see it or try it, so even if it was solely a rant, which it wasn't, somebody might be thankful that I wrote caveats about OneDrive. I've had a computer since I was 5 and I am very much older, I never expected OneDrive to be a mirror of all the files on my local drives. I thought it was like Google Drive and it isn't.  And others might not know that they are/were helped by my posts because they send me a DM. My posts might not look like "regular" help but that does not mean that it isn't helpful to someone.

I'm sorry I what I said made you feel like I was an [something I cannot say here] it was not intended like that but I still don't believe that this was the place to post a message that they had finished the event because everyone  who posted here had an issue and most could not finish.

And now I will bow out because like everyone else in my life, everyone will be happier if I just shut up.
