A Million Simple Miracles Legacy Stories

Hello everyone! I WAS going to do a rotational storyline with the premade Sims (as can be seen by my single post below with the Kim-Lewis family), but I accidentally quit without saving and lost all my progress. I don't know if this has happened to any of you before (anyone else embarrassingly clumsy?), but it was pretty frustrating. Out of spite, I went back to my old save with my Caleigh Sim and played a bit. I found that I actually missed this Sim's storyline and would like to share some of it here under the name a "Million Simple Miracles Legacy Stories." I may go back to premade rotational gameplay at some point, but I'm pretty defeated right now in that realm. Thank you all for your understanding and I hope you enjoy reading about Caleigh's (and her descendants') adventures!

  • Today's Highlights From The Kim/Lewis Family

Dennis and Vivian seemed to be getting along quite well, and I've always been a fan of making them a couple. It would certainly complicate the family dynamic (as if it wasn't already complicated enough!), but I decided to give it a go.

I sent them on a date to Magnolia Blossom Park and they became good friends during their discussions together.

I noticed that Katrina Caliente was watching them afar and looking very glum. I suppose that maybe she was upset about not having a lover herself, as she has the romantic trait but no love in her life (there's Don Lothario, I guess, but there's not a whole lot of romance between them). Never fear, Katrina, I will get to you in my rotations!

Dennis and Vivian even shared their first kiss. I missed it, unfortunately, as I was preoccupied with Katrina. I thought this was a cute hug, though.

Dennis may be the grandfatherly character type, but he sure knows how to keep a lady's attention! During his date with Vivian, he sashayed between romance and humor, telling a joke one minute and professing his love the next.

Dennis and Vivian ended their date with a gold medal. It went very well over all and I am thinking that I might want to send them on another one in the coming Sim day (a separate play session).

Back at the house, Eric and Alice discussed adding another child to their family. Their talk was definitely successful.

Eric was really on top of things. After woohooing with Alice, he got a job as a live chat support agent. (given his higher programming skills). Somebody needs to pay the bills in this family!

Alice discovered that she was pregnant soon after. But really, who couldn't tell with that belly? The pajamas were her choice, not mine. I'm personal not a fan of revealing clothing, but I have a policy in my game that I let my Sims make their own choices as much as possible.

Eric wasn't too impressed with Alice's exciting news. He freaked out for a single moment and then went back to playing video games.

Olivia seemed to be feeling a little left out, but a talk with her "best friend" cheered her up.

Eric is getting quite good at playing video games. For whatever reason, Sims seem to do some activities until their needs force them to do to do otherwise. Some activities have a "timer," but some appear not to.

Dennis was more excited for his daughter than her own husband. He gave her a big hug after she told him she was pregnant, which I thought was very sweet.

Vivian is engrossed in cooking shows 24/7. Dennis may be wildly in love with her, but he doesn't seem to share her same affinity for the culinary arts.

I'm really a fan of how the Sims 4 team upgraded the premade houses. Vivian is certainly enjoying the pool that they put in for the Kim/Lewis family!

It is great that Dennis and Vivian have become good friends and that their date went well. Congratulations to Alice and Eric on the upcoming birth of their little baby ๐Ÿ™‚It is a sweet photo of Olivia chatting with her unicorn friend to cheer her up. She may be more happier when her new little sibling arrives ๐Ÿ™‚The outdoors living and pool patio at their home is great!

  • The wedding was everything Caleigh had ever hoped it would be. Travis looked magnificent in his black-and-white suit, and her own dress was simply stunning. Silky soft and white as snow, with a smattering of woven flowers adorning her left hip, the gown was as beautiful as any she could have imagined. The ceremony was simple and brief. With their small friend circle gathered round, the two lovers exchanged rings and vows and then, holding one another tight, kissed to seal their marriage. After the ceremony, the mingling with the guests began. The number of invitees was small, but the crowds quickly swelled as nearby parkgoers dropped in the wish the newlyweds "good luck" in their journey (and to grab some grilled plantains).

At home, Caleigh continued to wear her wedding dress just a little longer after the ceremony. It held such good memories within its fibers, and she was loathe to take it off. In a bright mood from her new status as "wife," she danced to Liberty's stereo until Liberty, who was simply trying to enjoy some peace and quiet while video gaming, kicked her out. Travis was quick to come to her rescue, however, and their flirtatious remarks towards each other soon transitioned to something more intimate. After woohooing for the first time with her husband, Caleigh snuck off to the bathroom to take a pregnancy test. Although she didn't expect much of it, she was elated when the test came up positive. Although the pregnancy came so soon after her marriage, she knew she had to tell Travis. He was just as shocked as she, but happy too.

No sooner had the words "baby" left her lips than there was a ruckus at the front door. A burglar had taken advantage of the household's happy carelessness to sneak in through the unlocked door. Summer was the first to spot the intruder but fled the house without so much as a called warning. Caleigh, however, was quick to call the police. The officer that arrived attempted to peacefully defuse the burglary, by the burglar was desperate and initiated a fight. Caleigh attempted be nonchalant by scrolling on her phone, but even she, with all her calmness and patience, ultimately couldn't tear herself away from the fight. It was exciting at first, then scary, and she was relieved when the police officer eventually won and arrested the burglar.

Congratulations to them on their wedding and also on the upcoming birth of their new little baby ๐Ÿ™‚Their wedding outfits were very lovely. It was not good that a burglar invaded their home! It was a big fight that the police officer and the burglar had! It was great that the Police officer won and was able to do an arrest.

  • Despite her progressing pregnancy, Caleigh continued to work hard at her job as a writer, reading all the required books and even practicing her writing skills on the computer. Of course, she was distracted by her handsome husband at times, who always stopped in when he was most needed for an adoring kiss or hug. Caleigh didn't know how much longer she'd stay at her job, as the prospect of becoming a full-time mother always lingered at the back of her mind.

The rest of Caleigh's time was filled with a variety of activities, from working out on the treadmill (although that belly was becoming a bit too heavy to do so) and practicing her painting skills to working on her first novel, a children's book about sloths. Once the manuscript for the book was finished, Caleigh took the liberty of publishing it herself. After all, if she was ultimately to resign from her job as a writer, it would be useful to contribute to the family income at least a little bit.

Another thing that Caleigh took up in her spare time was the violin. She leapt into this new endeavor with gusto, but found, unfortunately, that she didn't take the instrument up as easily as she had hoped. Even to her own ears, the screeching of the violin strings was embarrassingly grating, and she could only imagine the patience it took for her housemates to keep quiet. Liberty was the only one who didn't seem to mind the onslaught, and she even stood and watched Caleigh's playing for a while.
