So @NRowe started a discussion about exploring all of the game play in the Sims. @elanorbreton suggested going in alphabetical order and this gave me an idea for a legacy challenge. What if each gener...
This version of the challenge has only been updated through Crystal Creations. Since it's difficult to update posts that were transferred from the old forums, I set up a new thread here. As of right now, the new version of the challenge includes game play from Lovestruck.
C Gen is my favorie generation so far. Celia has moved out to an apartment in the city. Here are here adulthood objectives: Skills- Charisma, Comedy Aspirations-Master Chef, Computer Whiz, City Native Careers- Culinary, Critic, Covert Operator (Military) Collections-Crystals, City Posters Reside In-Courtyard Lane, Crumbling Isle Lot Traits and Challenges: Convivial, Chef’s Kitchen, Celebrity Home, Child’s Play; Cursed, Creepy Crawlies Visit-Café, Chalet Gardens, Central Park Aspiration Rewards-Confident Potion, Cold Acclimation, Creative Visionary, Carefree Other Gameplay- Throw a Charity Benefit Party. Own a Coffee maker, Christmas Tree, Cauldron, Cooler, Chess board, Card table, Celestial crystal crown and Campfire. Buy something from the Curio stall (Strangerville). Woohoo in a Closet and a Coffin. After all other objectives are complete, die from either Cardiac Explosion or Cowplant.
Celia has taken a small apartment in the Fashion District. The very place where Geekcon happens! Because she has Connections, she easily lands a job as an Ace Engineer in the Tech Guru career. The apartment is tiny and the aesthetic is . . . questionable. Who thought it was stylish to decorate the rug with tape? Even so, she can't wait to give an apartment key to Dina. She also learns that there are posters around the city that she can grab, so she starts a collection.
Celia comes home after being promoted to Project Manager. This completes one of her objectives for the Computer Whiz aspiration, giving her enough aspiration points to purchase the Carefree trait, but she doesn't feel care free. Being a video game developer is not as glamorous as she thought it would be. Not only that, but she didn't even get time off to go to Geekcon! Surely that should be a holiday? As she eats a solitary meal of blackened sea bass, she is struck with an inspiration. She's always loved cooking. What if she made it a career? She also decides that she's tired of her dingy little apartment. She finds someone looking for a roommate in Courtyard Lane. Quinn Moyer inherited a house from his cousin Bob, but it's too much house for him to maintain on a struggling painter's income. Celia and Quinn discover they have a lot in common, including a childish sense of humor and an interest in cuisine, so she agrees to move in.
Celia loves her new home in Courtyard Lane. She's found out that Quinn Moyer's "cousin Bob" was actually celebrity chef Bob Pancakes. The kitchen is a proper Chef's Kitchen, allowing her to make better meals. Celia starts preparing for her first dinner party. She is glad she now has a beverage station with coffee and tea. She prepares a campfire in the backyard, so guests can stay warm if they wander outside. The house provides a Convivial environment for a party, allowing her to improve her Charisma and Comedy faster. The party was a success, giving her enough aspiration points to purchase the Cold Acclimation trait.
Celia has noticed some strange things about Quinn. Although he loves to talk about cooking, he never seems to eat. Not only that, but why does he have a coffin in his bedroom?! There are some strange things about the house too. It seems that some non-human residents moved in while the house was in probate. One time Quinn was attacked by plasma bats. Celia also is overcome with strange, uncomfortable feelings for no apparent reason, as though she's been Cursed. Quinn thinks the house is haunted by the ghost of Eliza or Bob.
The fact that the house used to belong to the famous Bob Pancakes draws tourists. This is embarrassing for Celia and Quinn because Celia is only slightly famous for designing mobile games inspired by her mother's scifi novels, and Quinn is completely unknown. Celia uses a diamond-equipped Celestial Crystal Crown while using social media, hoping that this will improve her fame.
One evening after work, Celia and Quinn meet up at the Humor and Hijinks festival. Quinn suddenly seems to have an irresistible allure and Celia can't resist. They go home and woohoo in his coffin.
Celia has developed enough reputation to throw a Charity Benefit. She throws a benefit in support of struggling poster artists at the Central Park in San Myshuno. Before the guests arrive, she takes a Confidence potion. The benefit is a success and she masters the Charisma skill. https://i.postimg.cc/G356hnk4/Confident-Potion.png https://i.postimg.cc/jSz1XWBf/Charity-Benefit.png https://i.postimg.cc/CxytkCrY/Charisma.png She keeps working away at her culinary career and aspiration. Making an excellent plate of Monte Cristo sandwiches gives her enough aspiration points to buy the Creative Visionary trait, the last of her reward store traits. She and Quinn home come home one day to find that they were both promoted. For Celia, her promotion to Sous Chef completes her Master Chef aspiration. She's getting more attention professionally. When Diego Lobo came to her restaurant he asked to meet her so that he could complement her. The struck up a friendship and he invited her to a Cafe. "My dear, I usually critique art, not food, but you're food is a work of art!"
When Celia and Quinn go to the romance festival, Quinn proposes to her in the heat of the moment. They're engaged. She also finds the last poster for her poster collection at the festival.
Celia wants to tell her family about her engagement. When she tells Cedric that she has exciting news, her asks her to meet him at the 8 Bells, where he's hanging out with his Army friends Keon and Bristol. Celia likes Keon and Bristol immediately. Cedric is delighted to hear that Celia's found someone special. Unfortunately, Celia's relationship with Quinn is starting to fall apart already. Spending the rest of your life together means something different for a vampire. There's no "Til death do us part" clause. Quinn can't believe that she won't turn into a vampire for him. After much arguing they can't see eye to eye on this, so Celia breaks up with him. When she tells Diego about her break up, he invites her to move in with him in his luxury apartment until she can find her bearings.
Celia arrives home after achieving her dream of becoming a Celebrity Chef, the top of the Culinary career. She doesn't even have time to tell Diego before he tells her that his paper wants to hire her as a food Critic. She realizes that this could be a new adventure, so she accepts. Soon writing articles helps her clock enough time on the computer to finish up the Computer Whiz aspiration.
Celia is accompanying Diego to an assignment to the Arts Center when she runs into Keon. She's surprised to find out that he's a music enthusiast. She invites him home to the apartment. Maybe she's on the rebound, maybe it's the romantic firelight, but sparks soon fly.
After a whirlwind romance, Celia and Keon marry at the Von Haunt Chalet gardens. They have their honeymoon in Selvadorada. Celia takes the opportunity to look for Selvadoradian crystals. Later, they stop to admire the view of the waterfalls from the bridge. It's so romantic, they try for a baby right there.
Celia, Keon and Diego move out to a spacious home on Crumbling Isle. They've set up a game area on the balcony with a chess table and a card table. There's also a cooler for easy access to snacks and a tree for decoration. They put a cauldron on the patio for chili cookouts. Apparently this house also has Creepy Crawlies. Luckily, Celia picked up some Guzmania Pollenis when they were in Selvadorada, so she is safe from the bees.
