Bring Back Burglars - Here's How
I currently feel as if the world of TS4 is a little too safe. Don't get me wrong, I love that TS4 is a bright and cheery escape from everyday life, but sometimes we need a bit of unexpected chaos thrown in to keep things from getting boring and samey.
I think adding burglars back into the game would be a great way to do this.
I feel that the burglar Sims themselves should be Sims who are currently employed in the Criminal career track, ideally the "Petty Thief" level. I think it would be neat to see our own Sims that are employed in the Criminal track actually out robbing from homes, even if we cannot actively control it ourselves. If we have no played Sims employed as petty thieves then the game should of course draw an unemployed, homeless Sim into the role.
As for the police element of catching the thieves, well, I think a generic "Officer" role should be used for the situation that uses the same police outfit from GTW to reduce the need for new assets. As a GTW owner myself, I would not mind none GTW owners from having the police outfit in their games if it meant we could have burglars added back in this way.
If players have GTW installed then the game should, again, use Sims actually employed in the relevant career. Otherwise it should pull an unplayed, homeless Sim into the role.
The inclusion of house alarms would also be a must, for obvious reasons.
What are other peoples' thoughts on this subject?
