[Build Mod] Floor tiles on ceiling/change look of ceiling

Hello everyone,
sorry if there is a thread like this already but I googled and could not find one.

With this thread I am asking for the feature we had in TS3:
We could put floor tiles on our ceilings and change the look of them. As far as I know we can not do that in TS4 at the moment.

Here are pictures which show what I mean (from TS3):

We could easily place floor tiles on the ceiling. Right now the ceilings in TS4 are always white and it really destorys the immersion when you are, for example, making a spooky crypt and then you have a pure white ceiling.

edit: It seems like this was also possible in TS2!

I agree! I remember in the sims 2 there was an option to toggle the ceilings on and off while the walls were cut away and build mode had a button to go into a 45 degree view so you got clear view of the ceilings

So I think it should not be too hard to add to TS4 too. :)

Please considere putting that in soon. I really miss it and its a small thing but bugs me big time.
I hope its possible!

    YES!! The white ceiling always drive me crazy why don't they fix it already it's sooooo frustrating

    This building on the outside has white ceiling. It should be the same as walls, shouldn't it? :|

    Nope, they are white like the inside ones sadly

    Yes. I can understand ceiling inside being white, but this no.

    Yes. I can understand ceiling inside being white, but this no.


    Yeah it drives me nuts because it looks sooooo bad, I can bear with an inside ceiling being white but and outside one is just upseting

    The camera won't point up, you can barely see the ceiling. I wish you could point it straight up or down.

    TS3 had the ability to paint ceilings with floor tiles (since the third EP I think) and that's a game from 2009.

    They should really add it. It feels like they've abandoned build mode.
