Jumping right in the new forums with a Casting Call for sims. Need 7 sims to participate in the Asylum Challenge.
The Asylum Challenge will be played on Hard Mode. All lot traits will be used, except simple living. I will only be controlling my own sim. The rest of the sims will run amuck...er...free in the asylum. The rules for the challenge are HERE
1. Create your sim. Teen, YA, Adult or Elder. The only requirement is that they must have the erratic trait. 2. Occults welcome (except vampires, as I don't have the pack). 3. Rusty's father was a professor of robotics at Foxbury University. His dream was to create the perfect female Servo, who would give him the perfect robot family. Every night and day, Rusty's father worked in his robotics lab. And finally, he did it. He created the perfect Servo. Her name was Gerta Gardenbot, a Servo he had created to help with gardening. And as the garden flourished, so did their love, and Gerta bore him a son named Rusty. Rusty's father had hoped that his robot love, Gerta, would give birth to a robot child, but alas, it was a human sim. Not happy with the outcome of Rusty's birth, his father shunned Rusty and spent every waking moment in his lab trying to find the solution to create a robot child. Gerta tried her best to attend to Rusty's needs, but she was programmed to garden, which left Rusty to tend to himself. All of this had an effect on Rusty, and he tried to be the perfect son for his father. Rusty studied programming, robotics, and immersed himself in video games and movies about robots. He changed the way he looked, and used make-up on his skin to turn it a silver color, dyed his hair, and wore a robot costume to school. He was the smartest child in his class, but he had no friends as the other children thought he was rather strange. He did everything he could to please his father and gain his love, but each time, he fell short. And so, Rusty decided that the only way his father would truly love him was if Rusty became a robot himself. Rusty had heard of a place called Glimmerbrook where it was rumored that sims who practiced magic lived there. Rusty headed to the Realm and met a Spellcaster who he told he wanted to be something else. The Spellcaster assured Rusty that Rusty would be, thinking that Rusty had meant he wanted to be a Spellcaster. Rusty then underwent a transformation. Rusty suddenly felt different and was sure the magic had worked on him. Excited about the possibility of being a real robot, Rusty returned home. His excitement soon turned to anger, though, as when he removed his robot costume he discovered that he was still a human sim. Something snapped in him suddenly, and all he remembered were the flames that appeared around him when he had muttered some words for an "inferniate" spell that he had learned from the Spellcaster. When the firefighters arrived at the blaze and carried Rusty out, his only words to them were, "I am Robot", which is why he is now residing at the asylum.
The number 01010010 is binary code and represents the capital letter R. In the Sims 4, Servos cannot produce children, but for purposes of this backstory, they can. Rusty Bolts was genetically created in CAS as the son of LisaBeesims's Gerta Gardenbot. He went to Glimmerbrook and accidentally became a Spellcaster, thinking that he was being turned into a robot.
A 911 call from Mei Prescott, Principal of Copperdale High School, alerted the authorities to the presence of a young woman wearing a prom dress wandering the halls of the school. When the officers tried to lead the sim away, the patient became distraught and told the officers that she could not leave the school as the star quarterback would be arriving shortly with his promposal. Afterall, tomorrow was prom night and she knew that he wanted to ask her as his prom date. After conferring amongst themselves, the officers told the patient that the "star quarterback" was at another location and he wanted the officers to bring the patient to him. With that, the patient willingly accompanied them to nearby Newcrest Hospital, where she was immediately placed under a doctor's care. After examining the patient, it was determined that she was reliving a past traumatic incident as if it were happening right now. The patient gave her name as Emilia Hurley, but no next of kin could be located. Due to her paranoia and delusional state, the doctors concurred that she be placed in an asylum for her own protection. On the ride there, Emila asked if she was being driven to the prom.
Beverley Hills 90210* is the name of an American teen television drama series which aired from 1990-2000.
Jackie loves the color orange. And pumpkins, don't forget the pumpkins!! Pumpkin pie, pumpkin scones, pumpkin soup Yum! In fact, she loves pumpkins so much she was found by a pumpkin farmer, in Henford-on-Bagley, sitting in his pumpkin patch with her feet planted firmly in the soil talking to his pumpkins. She said they were her family. The farmer called the police and they escorted her off to the asylum for a little vacation.
I changed Jackie's traits to childish, hot-headed and erratic and gave her the Freelance Botanist Aspiration. I also changed some of her outfits.
31 represents the date that Halloween falls on, Oct. 31st.
ASYLUM CHALLENGE - CHAPTER 1 - DR. HUMBERT HUNTSMAN
Dr. Humbert Huntsman looked at the file on his desk. The patient's name was Snow White. He knew the name well and had spent many sleepless nights wondering what to do. You see, Dr. Huntsman knew that Snow White's tale of an Evil Queen trying to kill her was true. But the thing was, it was Dr. Huntsman himself who was supposed to have done the deed. He shook his head and ran his hand through his hair thinking back to how it had all happened.
He had been employed by the Evil Queen, or rather blackmailed by her, and had been instructed to take Snow White into the forest to kill her. You see, Dr. Huntsman had used some questionable methods for some anti-aging experiments he had conducted, and somehow the Evil Queen had found out. She had uncovered some files that would threaten his standing in the community, jeopardize his credibility, revoke his doctor's license, and worse, put him in jail. And so, he had entered a bargain with the Evil Queen. She would continue to fund his anti-aging experiments and never mention his secret to anyone, but in exchange, she had asked for one favor...to kill a sim named Snow White.
He wasn't quite sure what her motive was, but the Evil Queen seemed to ramble on about Snow White being "the fairest in the land", and she couldn't have that happen. He didn't quite understand, but he had agreed. Yes, he had shamefully agreed to save his own reputation. The Evil Queen knew that Dr. Huntsman had access to lethal injections, and she told him that he should take Snow White into the forest and do the deed there, where no one would see.
When the day came to carry out the plan, the Evil Queen had told Snow White that she had made an appointment for her with Dr. Huntsman for one of his "therapeutic talks" to help Snow White through some of the teen angst she was experiencing. From the description that the Evil Queen had given him, Dr. Huntsman pictured Snow White as a horrible, mean, and irresponsible sim. But when he met her, he found her to be innocent, kind, gentle, sweet, and cheerful. She had told him that her parents had died tragically and that she was under the care of the Queen. She told him that she felt like a servant in her own house and that no matter what she did, she could never seem to please the Queen.
Dr. Huntsman realized then that the Evil Queen had been jealous of Snow White, and the Evil Queen's vanity and evilness were the real reasons she wanted Snow White dead. As they walked further into the forest, Dr. Huntsman knew he couldn't kill Snow White. He told her that the Queen wanted her dead out of jealousy, and begged her forgiveness. He told her that she should flee into a deeper part of the forest and find shelter.
But in a twist of fate, she had ended up in his hospital under his care. He had found out too late to help her, and her case had already gone before the courts. The judge deemed Snow White "erratic" and ordered her to be sent to an asylum.
Dr. Huntsman sighed. He opened the file and wrote some notes.
"Patient is suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder which has caused her to become "erratic". She will not harm others and has a generous, trusting, and helpful nature. Given the recent budget cuts at the facility, my findings conclude that her therapy will consist of being in charge of the 7 other residents in the asylum. To cook and clean and care for them. In addition, if she completes 4 tasks (aspirations) to prove her sanity, it is my unwavering opinion that she can re-enter the Simworld again and lead a productive life."
He closed the file and gathered up 7 other files. He then called an orderly to bring the patient Snow White for transportation to the asylum. Dr. Huntsman thought for a moment about a fairy tale he had heard in his youth, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", mumbled Dr. Huntsman, "...how ironic..."
Dr. Humbert Huntsman is actually a Maxis-made sim named Scrubs De Reve.
Oh, this is exciting. It's like Snow White meets Eliza Graves. Is a prince supposed to come at some point? Will there be a plot twist involving apples?
I'm glad you liked that. I just thought I would do a bit of a backstory for Snow White. It is sort of based on the fairy tale where she is led into a forest by the Evil Queen's Huntsman to be killed. But in this case, it's a doctor named Huntsman, and she is placed in an asylum with 7 other residents or the dwarfs. As far as Prince Charming is concerned, anything can happen since she is a teen and I have teen neighborhood as one of the lot traits. The asylum is decorated with some apple pictures and we will learn something about Snow White and apples later on.
The Snow White plot is so fun! I love the twist with Dr. Huntsman. Does the Queen know? Will she get involved at some point? What a great start! I can't wait to see what happens.
Thank you for reading. No, as in the fairy tale, the Queen doesn't know about Snow White as yet, but she is lurking around in the world, so you never know if they will meet up. I don't think it will be too pleasant.
