I think it went so well compared to how it could have been because Penthesilea really wanted a compromise and is very sensitive because of being heavily pregnant (she's due every second now :D ). Serkon on the other hand is used to solving problems by talking since that's the only way Evandros allows in the council, I think I mentioned it once or twice? So they behave pretty mature in that regard xD
And for the kid, he really didn't want one. He certainly cares for it but after all, Penthesilea has excluded him from around seven months of the pregnancy so he doesn't feel too close to it
