Dreaming in The Sims (as a GP/EP)
It's a wild idea I had just now, what if the sim's dream became more detailed in the game and that we can control it?
There could be a dream world for sims and can only visited during deep sleep. There are several types of world depending on what kind of dream the sim is having, e.g. nightmares. Each type of dreams gives a moodlet to the sim (I think the game has a couple of it now).
The controllable dream acts as a lucid dream, we can command sims to do something they cannot do (or can't do without consequences) in real life, like flying, make out with a stranger, meeting a dead sim in real person, swimming in coin pool (if that's a thing) or becoming a giant. Also, the environment in the dream world could be changing and unpredictable all the time, like for example there will be a hole in front of a sim out of nowhere and the sim will fall through it and wake up in the real life.
Apart from dreaming, sleeping could be more fun for sims (well, for players). For example there could be sleep paralysis which the screen will show dark shadows everywhere and the sim will gain a paralyzed moodlet for it. There could also be something like sleep-walking, sleep-talking or peeing on the bed for kids, causing them to be embarrassed.
For objects/items, there will be functional dreamcatchers that give out some kind of emotional auras (like preventing bad dreams/nightmares). There will also be a therapist to help patients to sleep well, scented candles making, etc.
