Fences at the edges of the lot

In The Sims 3, you could place a fence at the edge of your lot. Unfortunately, this didn't carry on to The Sims 4; fences and walls have to be at least one square away from the lot egde, and that's really frustrating.

Please bring back edge fences!

Maybe it's to do with the gates that can be placed directly into hedges and fences?

On the plus side, you can still decorate just outside your hedge or fence with one-square flowers.

I find it so annoying as if the lots are not small enough you cant even completely use them.
  • Technically, it is possible to build up to the edges of lots, but the moveobjects cheat is needed to do it. I've done it a few times. However, I agree it would be nice if a cheat wasn't needed since not everyone likes to use them.

Yeah how? Because I'm calling bs on that. I'm trying to do it right now and it isn't possible?

Hmm?? Maybe there's more to it then just the BB.moveobjects code?
  • Didn't quite understand why they did this...it just seems like a bit of a waste around the whole lot. One square makes all the difference!

oh and more terrainpaint-options, especially the option to actually use the colors the devs used when coloring the rest of the world, my green just never gets green enough.

Yes!... why?! Why are they not options.

I would love it if fences could be built to the end of lots.
It's not a deal breaker or anything for me and I'm kind of used to it but it would be so nice.

I think it was done to allow you to add a gate on any side, anywhere. The gate needs one open tile on each side.

We should have the option of whether we want to put a gate on or not though. The downside is up at the pinnacles and wanting an infiniity pool at the edge of the lot. I can't block of the sides to the yard and have had stans swimming in the pool because we can't fence to the edge. I've had to move the pool away so that I could fence it in and that fence then blocks the view from the heights. I would have preferred to have it open on the end so I could put chairs for them to sit in and enjoy that view.
