Comments: Given the cost is still within the budget, I’ll accept your workaround. Knotty Pine Chalet looks so luxurious, a bright welcoming beacon in the cold. What a beautiful, peaceful Zen garden. The Yukimuras will definitely love it. The garden has so many things to do from fishing to stargazing that sims will never be bored. I love the 4-season porch, a must in Mt. Komorebi. Clever idea to separate the guest/rental home from the main chalet with a bridge and fishing pond, so it’ll have some privacy. It looks so cozy and roomy with two levels of its own. The interior is both rustic with all the wood, including the ceiling, yet luxurious - the space and t the massive, two-sided fireplace. Good job finding a brick wall that matched the fireplace so perfectly. The family room looks like a comfortable place for the family to gather. The fireplace in the dining room will keep sims warm while they eat and admire the view through the sliding doors. The kitchen might be small, but it has plenty of counter space and the big window helps it feel bigger. The 4-season porch looks great! Lots of space, seating and greenery. Once again, you’ve balanced rustic wood panelling with modern fixtures in the bathroom. Great idea to make the storage space multipurpose. Perhaps a butler can add some personal touches on the shelves and walls since there’s room. The yoga area looks narrow, but the spectacular view form that huge window will make up for the lack of space and light. Hopefully a sim wanting to go through that door doesn’t collide with one using the yoga mat at the same time. Creative touch, overlapping the blinds and curtains in the master bedroom. The fireplace will keep this space toasty even on the coldest winter night. Nice roomy ensuite bath. I like that the guest house has its own game table so guests don’t have to go to the main house for entertainment if they don’t want to or the weather’s too bad. I wonder if those mounted fish are from the pond just steps away. The small, simply decorated bedroom is very Asian. All the artwork choices are pretty and perfect for the space. Suggestions:. I would have liked to see more tatami flooring in places like the family room and bedrooms. As it is, it’s hard to see the Asian influences in some areas. The kitchen cabinets look like they might be a bit too high up. A way to check this is to place a cabinet over the fridge and align the rest with it, or count how many slats down fromm the top it is since you’re using vertical paneling, then match the other cabinets to that spot and remove the ones you don’t want. The upstairs hallway and the 4-season patio’s counter area are a little dim. Could you have added a wall sconce at least for the screenshots? The lantern-like ones from Snowy Escape are bright and would have fit in well. Looks like one of the trees may be clipping the roof a bit - be careful of that.
Thank you so much for your kind, thoughtful, and detailed comments! Normally those cupboards/shelves would be a bit high in the kitchen, but the wall height is medium in the main floor of both buildings and the second floor of the main home, so I could not find any cupboards, shelves, or trees that clipped, however, I am always open to the possibility of me missing something. Plus the tree by the guest house is crazy-close to clipping, so I would have also wondered about that if not in-game. I agree that the lighting is a bit dim over the sink on the porch, and I like the idea of bringing in additional Asian/Oriental items. Thank you, again, for your comments and time in looking over my build! 🙏
