  • The Windenburg build that I am most proud of, and that I have worked on the most (in the gallery it's version 3.0 now I think), is Windenburg Cathedral. I'm so obsessed with getting this right that I bought the Castle Estate kit more or less only so that I could improve on this build. You can find this latest version here on the gallery.

The outside is gray stone with copper roofing, something that reminds me of the Cathedral in Lund here at home. The main hall has pews but also chairs to make weddings functional (as pews aren't counted as seats). There is a balcony for the organ, and upstairs a reception area for the wedding.

The build was also featured in my Whittaker Saga as Abigail and Joseph visited the church on their honeymoon (though I think that was version 2.0).

Abigail liked it so much she later painted it so she could remember it (and from the windows I can see it was definitely 2.0 version):

A German town needs a cathedral, and that lot is perfect for it. :)

Windenburg Cathedral is beautiful!JesLet40 🙂 Very lovely exterior design and stained glass windows. The pews are very nice and pretty flowers. The upstairs reception meal dining area design is lovely. It is a special touch that Abigail painted a picture of the cathedral 🙂

It wasn't intentional in the beginning. I tried some different building techniques for towers and the poor "Shrieking Llama" in Windslar/Windenburg was the victim of my love of experimenting. But even if it turned out to be a bit bizarre, in the end I liked it so much that I left it in that shape instead of scrapping it. Might be a kind of display of a mad tower builder.
