Soda Making Skill

Interesting idea, would it really work as a skill though? Perhaps just as a soda making machine, in a similar manner to the tea set changing emotions. :smile:

We need soda pop skill & career.

I'd prefer Nectar Making as a skill because there is a whole process to making it and a certain aesthetic that goes with it. Not only would we likely get a wine region as a neighborhood most likely places like Napa, Tuscany, or the Rhone region of France. We'd get a defined lot called the Nectary, a bunch of new growables, probably new lot traits. But then you think of all the things like wine caves, the vats, bottle racks, the machine to squash the grapes for purchase in buy/build. It lends itself far more beautifully to skill building and overall game play in the game.

I wouldn't mind a soda machine in game though it would be cute. I personally have one in my kitchen. It takes zero skill to make the soda though I just press a button to carbonate the water then add the flavor packet.

So...if I may add to this...Imagine if your sim isn't very good at making them and they make adverse effects...suddenly a bad batch of Dr Freeman Grape causes them to get purple stripes all over their skin and makes them dazed. And they walk around with the hiccups with purple bubbles that come out each time. lol

Heres a couple more sodas:
Dr. Freeman Cream Soda (Gives them a feeling of nostalgia)
Dr. Freeman Red Ruckus (Causes sim to be temporarily erratic)

Maybe we could have a brewing skill for wine soda beer and mead. Maybe we could get kegs to store the soda in.

A great idea. And a bad batch of Dr. Freeman Bizarro will have your sim possessed. (The soda temporarily halts motives decay without being possessed.)

Fizzy drinks are coming with Eco Living! While it's not soda it still is a drink making skill so I hope that shall suffice!
