Hello! Follow along with me as I play Morbid's Ultimate Decades Challenge! The challenge begins in the year 1300 and goes all the way through history to the present day.
We will follow Thomas Farvale, 16, living with his parents, Caitlin and Edward Farvale. He has two older sisters. Anna (20) and Elizabeth (18) who are both married.

I have updated Henford-on-Bagley to look medieval, as well as a few other worlds. I used a combination of some builds from DivanTheSimmer's Medieval Save and SnarkyWitch's Medieval Henford-on-Bagley. I also am using quite a few mods, but that's totally not necessary in order to do this challenge. :)
@Belalucina , i will comment to your awesome update later. but yes I noticed your pics loaded very slow to me. I just thought it was my connection, but imgur loads fast.
@Ellupelluellu Thanks I will look into that for my next update! I apologize for the slowness. Hopefully it wasn't too bad. :s It had been working fine for awhile; I think it's just recently it started being slow.
Great chapter. So happy that Kimberly is officially pregnant now, and that Thomas is happy that they will be starting a family. I laughed when Thomas said Hello Baby! lol And he got her a lute...so nice. And Maren survives to be an infant. Yeah!
I've watched some other let's plays on this challenge, and some simmers have decided to just harvest when it is available, which is what I am doing. However, I am only planting the crops for that season, and when the next season comes, will be keeping all the old season crops in household inventory. I don't think it is necessary to keep uprooting the plants. and re-planting. Good idea about helping with errands, because they would have done that in medieval times, too. As far as the fridge, you could pretend it's a larder, which did, in fact, exist in medieval times, but was more in a cool basement area. If you have Ye Olde Cookbook, you can salt any meat. Pickling and jams were also available in medieval times.
Oh gosh...that fox...don't let him get your only chicken! The revamp of the house looks great.
I absolutely love how you changed the house to fit more the era <3 Congrats to Kimberly , I hope her pregnancy goes smoothly! LOL, now I need to know the name of the rooster :p
That's a good idea about the gardening. Although I think I already accidentally planted something I wasn't supposed to lol. Oops. And yeah, that is a larder, just works as a fridge in the game. Maybe at some point they will have a basement. They are on a large plot of land so there's room to grow. :) I know I can salt meat but I haven't figured out where to get salt yet lol.
Yes, the death rolls are intimidating. I know there was a high mortality rate back then, so that's why those are there, but I will still hate to loose a baby or an infant if it happens. Maybe I'll put a warning on those chapters if it happens. :s And thank you, I'm glad everything is loading fine!
Bonus post (because let's be real if I only post one a day I'll be doing this challenge until 2031...or something like that).
Day 9 - Year 1302 https://i.ibb.co/RQsd8m3/10-24-23-9-15-17-PM.png
It was Elizabeth's 20th birthday and the family gathered to celebrate her. https://i.ibb.co/VHKJF0X/10-24-23-9-15-45-PM.png
John made sponge cake and rabbit pie. He was a very good cook! https://i.ibb.co/KyhwR7L/10-24-23-9-18-17-PM.png
Since the family was gathered together, Thomas decided to share the news of Kimberly being pregnant. https://i.ibb.co/T1gmn5D/10-24-23-9-20-28-PM.png
"I'm sorry she couldn't make it. She hasn't been feeling well," he explained.
"Another baby! How wonderful!" Caitlin cheered.
They all got up to congratulate him. Elizabeth did her best to smile. She really was happy for him. https://i.ibb.co/dcG2Cvz/10-24-23-9-22-03-PM.png
But she and John had been trying so hard... https://i.ibb.co/7G9z9Tx/10-24-23-9-24-02-PM.png
She tried to put on a brave face. https://i.ibb.co/XYF85fd/10-24-23-9-24-57-PM.png
She hugged her sister, Anna. "How's Maren doing?" https://i.ibb.co/XZcnK8c/10-24-23-9-25-31-PM.png
"She's doing alright," Anna answered. "She has a sensitive stomach. When it's not colic it's the hiccups. But she really is wonderful."
After everyone left John comforted Elizabeth.
"Happy birthday, my dear." https://i.ibb.co/wzd6m1z/10-24-23-9-29-29-PM.png
"Now come, there is still hope yet. Let us try again." https://i.ibb.co/NsPKTYf/10-24-23-9-30-10-PM.png https://i.ibb.co/DgHK04W/10-24-23-9-30-17-PM.png https://i.ibb.co/KG1qSwh/10-24-23-9-31-05-PM.png

Back at home Thomas found Kimberly resting on the bed. She got up to greet him and he kissed her. https://i.ibb.co/sR3q9vM/10-24-23-9-37-17-PM.png
"How are you feeling?" https://i.ibb.co/WHkSdQz/10-24-23-9-37-32-PM.png
"Better," she assured him. "How was the party? And Elizabeth? Is your family well?"
"Yes, they were very happy about the news. My parents will move back home to help out. Anna and Richard are getting on well."
"We'll need to make some more space here for them," Kimberly noted.
"Yes, I'll work on it this week. You just rest. We can visit your father tomorrow when you're feeling better."
"I think I need some air."
"It's raining out," Thomas told her.
"I love the rain." She smiled and stood up. "I'll be right back." https://i.ibb.co/KXtYs7n/10-24-23-9-46-52-PM.png
Later, Kimberly practiced her reading while Thomas painted. https://i.ibb.co/254gqr4/10-24-23-9-40-57-PM.png
Kimberly thought it wasn't all that bad being pregnant...when she wasn't throwing up anyway. https://i.ibb.co/ZJwRP5V/10-24-23-9-47-50-PM.png
Thomas finished a painting of a bird. "Like the birds you sang to on our first date. Do you remember?" https://i.ibb.co/yByJHC0/10-24-23-9-48-13-PM.png
"Of course," she told him. "Can we keep this one?" https://i.ibb.co/R6hM8J6/10-24-23-9-49-01-PM.png
"Anything for my songbird." https://i.ibb.co/DYk4V6Q/10-24-23-9-50-35-PM.png
"Now, sing to me, my love," Thomas whispered and Kimberly sang the love song she had on their first date together. https://i.ibb.co/J2TkVyZ/10-24-23-9-50-53-PM.png https://i.ibb.co/Lgxhg03/10-24-23-9-51-52-PM.png https://i.ibb.co/x83kQDw/10-24-23-9-52-15-PM.png
