World Legacy Stories

I started the world legacy in 2019 because I had hard times to play legacy challenges without abandoning them after 3 or 4 generations. So I decided to bend the rules and mix them with rags to riches:

What if each generation has to start over, from scratch in another world and use skills and systems implemented in the pack, in which the world comes from, to succeed in their lives? I'm now at my 18th Generation and it's still going. I have no real rules but I set goals for each generation so I could balance storyline and goal-oriented challenge.

Current Family Tree:

Generation 1 to 13 goals and backstories:

Legacy Heirs:

Update: gen 17 and 18 are added in the family tree, gen 17 storyline template added😊

    Thank you so much!

I also had problems sticking with one save so I decided to make three completely different saves: One with a legacy, this legacy (it makes me change the main characters and storylines so I don't get tired of the same sims), One with the same Sims since 2017 (this one makes me stick with the same sims; It's mostly my completionist save, and my main save to be honest), and finally a "Test" save, it's a save where I put the sims I use to try new features or, features I rarely use but it allows me not to abandon those sims once I finished playing with them😅

That really sounds cool! I'm thinking about making each generation move out to start their own home and family and then do a very very slow rotation. Not sure yet, but working on just a few goals at a time...a harvestable to perfect, a career to complete, a collection to complete, and at least one aspiration that fits along with them. I'm trying real hard to stick with this one, even if I change the way I play or their goals along the way. I started her with only Basegame and Seasons, and I added the Greenhouse Kit and the Romantic Garden Stuff. I want to really experience each pack that I've bought and barely played.

That's exactly the way to keep the fun! I have so many packs but some of them I barely explore. I hope you'll have fun with your rotation😉

  • I totally applaud you on this achievement. I just started a World series of my own earlier this year. I can only play bits and pieces at a time. I just "play". No real story to it. I share my experiences. But back to this. This is awesome. I enjoy the synopsis with each Generation. Makes me wish I followed along from the beginning.

    Thank you so much😊

I completely understand the "just play". I actually don't set the stories immediately, I wait for what the game throws at me and go along with it; For example, for my Forgotten Hollow story, I didn't expect to have triplets so I ran with it; same for my Tartosa synospis: He really almost died frozen cause my game lagged, so I decided to use that for his storyline. But once I began the generation, I just go with "playing" and no storytelling. I love stories but they're mostly a tool for me to explain why the heir has to change world each time

    Thank you again
