- Think of the different playstyles! Maybe the first player focuses on a single household, then the next player is a rotational player who fleshes out all their friends's households, totally neglecting progress in the first. Then the next player is very goal oriented, passing the save on with lots of skills, only for the next one to have the sims not make any career/skill/aspiration progress, but they have two hundred screenshots that prove that the sims had a good time.
(I'm not sure if what I just described is a good or bad thing.) - EgonVMSeasoned AceHmm... Good question and interesting idea.
Hmm... It is possible, using Google Drive or something like that to share the save.
I'd say some things:- With DLC, you'll have to establish rules which are allowed. After all, I don't know what would happen to saves where a DLC is used that isn't owned by you. Fortunately, there is a way to disable packs without having to uninstall them.
- Then to who are you going to send it and how they will tell you that they've done their relay?
- And finally, what are you going to do with old versions? Keeping them is one of the possibilities...
But yes, it is possible. - With DLC, you'll have to establish rules which are allowed. After all, I don't know what would happen to saves where a DLC is used that isn't owned by you. Fortunately, there is a way to disable packs without having to uninstall them.
- probably by sharing save file and passing it along
but its gonna be really hard to match packs used while playing that way i think - crocobauraSeasoned AceThe gurus used to play this way when they were doing their Twitch streams. One would build the lot, another create the characters, and some other play the story. I suppose once you post the game save online, anyone can pick it up and continue playing it, then post their version online for someone else to play further on. The story doesn't have to stop for everyone if someone decided to kill the characters in their save. But, half the fun with this things is finding out what the characters have been up to while someone else was playing them.
- I think it would have to be restricted to the classical househould in base game the Landgraabs, the Goths, pancackes and so on but it would be fun to try and see what would happen. But I do think it would require a more informed Sim intelligance then mine to make it work.
