- I think that I'd really like to have it as an option. Like if there were branded types of products like my sim could have a favorite brand of cereal or something like that. It's a really small detail, but it could add to storytelling for realistic gameplay.
- I mean potentially.. If they did home deliveries I’d be down? Sometimes I can’t be bothered to sit through load screens and so don’t leave a lot I’m playing on, and I feel having to go buy groceries would be annoying. I can’t see grocery shopping being all that interesting tbh either, especially if they are rabbit holes.. I could be wrong though?
I’ve been thinking for a while though they should do some kind of chore pack for the people that want that kind of gameplay (RIP maids lol), making beds, hoovering, lawn mowing etc maybe a grocery store would fit in that pack?
But didn’t they say agesssss ago now, they were overhauling community lots? I’d be excited over a mall type pack, or if they made multifunctional community lots? Or hotels? Or a pool table anyone? I dunno, grocery stores aren’t way up there on my wish list lol - dianed4855 years agoRising ScoutI added a pic of TS2 supermarkets in my first comment. Can't believe there were supermarkets in TS2 but not TS4!!.
- Supermarkets in TS3 were one of my favourite parts of the game. It just feels like cooking isn't as fun anymore in TS4, since they're missing from the game.
- Trashmagic5 years agoNew SpectatorSims 2 also had grocery deliveries. I use that feature a lot for my busier households. There was also (I believe) a quality bonus when cooking with fresh produce so I had a grocery store that only sold fresh prdocue grown by farmer Sims in the neighborhood. I thought of it as organic food vs non-ogranic food. The system we have now, (forever food fridges) could have been a cool aspiration award.
- i agree need farmer markets, grocery stores
- God no! But if they put them in, can they at least give us the option to do like how we did in Sims4 for food, and not have to ho through the gates of perdition personally? I grocery shop all the time irl and don't wanna have to, just to have food in the fridge, in game! It's like laundry..real life supplies enough of that.

see, that was what killed my enthusiasm in the previous versions, was too much time to do every little thing...relationships took forever, and everything ate up all the minutes left in the day, now gotta grocery shop? My married couple became strangers and had a lousy life living on jam sandwiches til they died young of heart attacks from their unhealthy lifestyle. It was a mercy in their case. If I had to go back to that kind of game, my sima would legit live on pizza delivery and bar drinks so if they died young, at least they had fun first.
100% yes. I don't like how the food appears to be in the fridge out of thin air. I would love to have grocery stores.
As a long time sims 2 fan, I still like how it was handled in that version. Fridges had a capacity that needed to be filled. If the counter hit zero, a sim could no longer cook because the fridge was empty. Besides going to a store there was an option to have groceries delivered (delivered in a basket by a npc, not magically appear in the inventory).
Groceries and actually paying for clothes would add so much realism to the game.- I want the game for the fun stuff, not life's hassles, so for those who want more of the endless menial chores that eat up the precious minutes every day, I get it, especially if you haven't yet had your fill of it irl, but I hope those of us who just wanna party in the game, can skip the drudgery and have the same options we have now in sims4...just leave us our options. ?

There was the option to order groceries just like you would order pizza so there was no hassle about it. Also, a supermarket would be great as you would have all kinds of vegetables, fruit, fish and herbs in one place and would no longer need to go all over the map to get what you need.
