A Will Script
I think EA needs to develop a Will option to allow Sims to pass on simoleons, lots and pets to family, friends or a charity!

I agree this would be nice. Meanwhile I use my own system, which is primitive in a plain document, but makes it easy for me to keep track on all this, not only at the time of death but also years before and after. I recall TS3 (or was it TS2?) had a thing where you could inherit something, but back then I felt it was more a random thing than something logical. Besides, if I planned for a certain family drama, the game never did fit my plan. With a Will script this could of course be a tool helping to decide these things, and no more randomness. So, I'd be interested in the feature nonetheless ;)

They should make a death game pack. Funerals, wakes, wills and inheritance, plus some extra ways to die.
I love this idea! The funeral part would be amazing and could tie into the Paranormal like you could have the option of having the tombstone placed in a graveyard or spread ashes in a favourite spot with a flower ceremony or even Viking style send the flaming body to sea
I agree. I rotate around over 200 Sims in my favourite Save and, in one lot, grandparents, parents have all died leaving 3 young adults in a mansion property and somehow a horse has been installed roaming around inside it! If Maxis can add a horse why can't they leave some money too for its upkeep!
PS I tried to move one of them out with the horse to a ranch property and the horse didn't move over with my Sims so she had to move back home. Sad. 😡
I want this and funerals too! It would be great to have an appropriate way to mourn our beloved sims.
I use mods and have this ability in my game. I agree it would be nice if EA added the feature. There can be lots of drama behind leaving a will or lack thereof.
If the rumored death pack is coming. You might just get your wish. Though you could use MCCC which has the ability to past down inheritance to family members. I just adjusted my game so elders can age up and die. I had got 20 notifications for elders who died in one swoop. I was reaching 800 sims so I'm going to leave them deceased. They were the Patriarch and Matriarch of their families. It's sad to see some of my favorites go before we get the death expansion pack. ðŸ˜
I liked inheritances in Sims 2. It varied based on relationships, so sometimes one Sim would inherit everything. Sometimes it would be split between a bunch of Sims. Sometimes some rando townie would get most of it and their child would only get a few simoleons. It was fun.
