Advanced Roof Pitches

Why doesn’t EA have a way to access advanced roof pitches for console??? It’s absolutely ridiculous that i have to place a house that has the advanced roofs unlocked just for me to use it. I mean, every other control+c command is accessible for console, so why isn’t this one??? I have to plug in a keyboard to use a feature in the game? Why???
