Why does cats, dogs and horses fulfill slots in the household if we can't control them or see their moodlets, actions and needs throught it? I know they may need it for customization on CAS but they could fulfill extra and hidden slot. That way they'd give more space in the households for actual sims that's already not enough.

The only good thing about adding unplayable pets to a lot is birth control.
3-6 sims...the rest pets...no baby opportunities! 🤩😛😀
I agree, pets shouldn't take up household slots, or household slots should be increased for pets like it was done in the sims 2.
Miataplay I usually go into CAS and change the can give give birth/can impregnate settings to none. But adding pets works as well.
