Can’t keep a sleep schedule with high quality beds

I’ve been playing a rich household who all have Energy 10 beds and I’m getting really frustrated with them. When sleeping in them, Sims only need 6 hours of sleep, but the next day they still get tired after about 16 hours like they would if they slept in a normal bed. The problem is this gives them a 22 hour sleep cycle, so they’re going to bed and getting up 2 hours earlier every day, making it impossible to keep them on a regular schedule.

This is a really annoying oversight considering that in the Sims 3, the high quality beds would also mean Sims only needed 6 hours of sleep, but then they would be active for 18 hours instead of 16, keeping them on a 24 hour cycle.

  • You could try to make-up for the 2 hours delay by having the sims drink coffee or nap or relax interactions during the day, or simply let them sleep 2 hours more, depending on whether it's important for them to wake up at the same time or go to bed at the same time.

  • Sims should sleep more either way, especially for lazy sims it's ridiculous they would get up in the middle of the night. Sims should just keep sleeping through the night even if fully rested. Lazy sims should keep sleeping till late in the morning if not woken up.

Yeah, the extra management is just annoying. What’s the point of spending the money on a higher quality bed if it just makes things more complicated?
