Player-directed actions cancel autonomous ones instead of queueing behind them
Not sure if this counts as a bug or just how the game was built, but it's been bugging me for ages 😅
When my Sim autonomously starts doing something — grabbing a plate, sitting down to read, whatever — and I then click something else for them to do, the autonomous action gets straight up canceled instead of just going into the queue. So the thing they picked on their own never finishes. 🙃
I'd love it if the first item in the queue wasn't canceled. Let them finish what they started, THEN move on to what I told them to do. Right now it feels like my Sims never get to complete a single self-directed thought, and honestly it makes autonomy feel kind of pointless. 😵💫
I get that some players probably want the instant override, so ideally this would be a game option toggle — something like "Player commands queue after autonomous actions" in Game Options, or even just holding a key while clicking to add-to-queue instead of interrupt. That way everyone gets the behavior they want. ✨
Would make Sims feel way less like they have goldfish memory. 🐠
