Can we have a clothing shop and a new lot challenge?
My ideas are based on how The Sims 2 used to be (or rather still IS)
You choose things like clothes for examble but once you're done and move your sim in
you can't change the clothes with a certain outfit category (like for examble you need to stick with the everyday outfit, formal outfit etc) unless you visit a clothing shop to buy them, very similair to The Sims 2 and of course it costs money, the more you pay for the clothes, the more you have to pay for it
(i want the same for piercings, tattoo's, earings and other things like jewellery that's normally always in CAS but the most important one are the clothes one...maybe it can be in basegame aswell but more like as an option to toggle it on/off)
The closest world which has a small clothing shop it's in Tartosa but it's wedding outfits only, we have Nifty Knitting to create their own clothes that's locked in CAS, you can do outfit for your taste with High School Years installed and i believe you can model/create clothes with Get To Work installed so you can sell them but i want a more realistic stuff you feel forced to buy them just like The Sims 2 and in real life of course
The lot challenge is a solution to make it optional, i don't know the name for this but when entering the mirror or wardrobe you can't change outfits (you can still switch from everyday outfit to like a formal outfit just like The Sims 2 did, you just can't switch outfit from a certain category you're in)
And to make this happen we need a clothing shop, you may need a option so you can check some outfits incase you don't like it or if it doesn't match with your body type and if it match with what you're looking for and you like this outfit you can buy them
I rather have them in basegame just like the supermarket i mentioned not that long ago (i made a seperate post about it)
When i was new to The Sims 4 it made me upset we can't do clothes shopping and we can change outfits whenever we feel like to, the earlier games wasn't like that, so that's the reason why i want to change it
Might not be possible to put it in at this point, Sims 2 did indeed handle it best and instead of improve on that system, it was downgraded instead.
Like I feel like it happening like in Sims 2 is the bare minimum.
I would add to that three price ranges: Cheap, average and expensive. Snob and materialistic sims would want to wear the expensive clothes and would look down on those who don't. While other sims might prefer cheap or average priced clothes, and would see the expensive clothing as a waste of money, and those who wear it as having the wrong priorities.
I'd also add three options in CAS too, to reflect it. Like they could start with a low budget and thus only have access to cheap clothes, the average current starting budget giving them the average clothing as options, and wealthy enabling the expensive options for them too.
