Re: Christian packs

I would love to have a Christianity themed game pack and some base game features to balance out all of the occults in the game please. I feel like that can help round out the gameplay alot since we can have aspirations, traits and reward store items for that as well as lot traits and challenges for lots to make Sims churches. Sims can become pastors, priests, etc. and they can have similar aspirations too. This would open the door for more scenarios and challenges too and like a good versus evil playthrough. And we can have challenges for them to get along with the other occults. But there can also be free play available for simmers to be able to create their own stories as well. I want to build fully functional churches and have pastors and priests as well. They can marry people, help with comfort at funerals, provide marriage counseling and help sims with their differences. I would also volunteer to help out with that as much as I can as well. Can we please have this to add balance and not have to rely on mods for this please? Thank you.

I've played sims 4 for 9 years now and over the years I have developed ideas for new expansion packs. We all know that sims 4 is inclusive;, supporting LGBTQ+ community along with holidays and more, but what about religion. I believe that if others beliefs of who they love is included, others beliefs should be involved to. Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Catholicism, Judaism, Indigenous religions, are just the tip of the ice burg. How is sims 4 inclusive when they leave out almost 85% of the world. Not to mention the personal depth that the sim would accomplish; making the game become more personal and attract more viewers. I understand that including every religion is close to impossible, but incorporating major religions would be a great extension to the game. Making it able for players to send their sims to church, temple, or a place of worship for that religion would be a wonderful thing to see bloom into the game. I believe that everyone's credence's should be valued and respected; giving that this "imaginary pack" would include the bible, Torah, Qur'an, etc. New jobs like Pastors, the Pope, Head of the church, Nuns, etc. Buildings like Cathedral's, Temples, Churches, Mosques, Synagogues, ect. Incorporating being able to go to work/places/ and schools, with the sim. More over, letting there be different types of schools. I know that all of this is a lot to do and would be an extremely large pack, and do not expect all of this, but to have incorporation of religion into sims 4 would be wonderful!

I doubt we'll ever have real-life religions oficially since they're trying to escape scandals. Also some of religions' practioners can't even tolerate the existence of others, imagine being portrayed as equal to other religions in a game like TS4.

The closest thing i can see is adding already existing religions from the franchise like the Jacobans, Peterans, Kine Society, Omiscan cosmogony, etc.

The team could also let us create and customize our own faiths (like clubs, holidays, weddings and funerals). It could also be personal for each sim like gender and sexuality. We'd only need some interactions like:
    - Sacralize this object
    - Pay devotion by... (bowing, singing, dancing, etc.)

But i don't think we will ever get any of this we can't even get religious-related accesories like cross/pentacle necklace, kippah, indigenous headdress, etc.

You have to keep in mind that The Sims doesn't aim to be an exact simulation of our reality; it only incorporates aspects that make the game more interesting. The Sims takes place in a fantastical universe where magic, genies, fairies, vampires, werewolves, aliens, the Grim Reaper, ghosts, reincarnation, superheroes, cloning, and time travel are confirmed to exist. Naturally, I would expect religion to exist as a concept since it's a very human thing, and Sims are, after all, humans. However, none of the real-world religions would make sense in that context.

That would be great! I was wondering if there were any other Christian simmers out there :) Have you played Sims Midieval? They have elements of faith and prayer and you can play as a priest, among other heroes as well. The gameplay in Sims Medieval isn't quite as open ended as the Sims 4 (kids don't age up unless the parent dies I think, heroes don't age up, you can't move into a new house, each hero stays in their job's specified housing), but it has a lot of fun quests you can do and heroes you can play. But it would be awesome if they either made a Sims Medieval 2 (with aging up and more open gameplay) or added in elements of what you were talking about into the Sims 4.
In the Sims Medieval, you start out playing as a monarch who is establishing their new kingdom, but then you can play as other heroes as well, including a priest. Praying gives you a boost, you can pray with others of the "Peteran" faith, the priest can have scheduled sermons or outdoor preach, they can study the "Watcher", and try to convert others to their faith. And other sims in the game might get a negative moodlet on occassion called "Searching" if they don't have a faith where they're questioning the meaning of life. I also like that each hero has a fatal flaw, and there is a chance for you to complete a Legendary Quest to overcome your flaw with the help of the Watcher, and gain a legendary trait.
I think it would be interesting to include elements of that into the Sims, since people have spirituality and faith in real life too.

I am also in favor of this!  Even in CAS there are very little options for Christian Sims.  You can make a Sim of almost every other religion, but there are very few options for an Orthodox Christian like myself.  I would love to make a prayer corner for my Sims' house, have a prayer rope or an Orthodox Cross available to wear, or some more options for veiling that aren't all hijabs.

Why did you listen Christianity and Catholicism separate from one another? Catholicism is literally one of if not the oldest branches of Christianity still in existance.
