Feedback: Likes & Dislikes Activity category

I think we all know that likes and dislikes were supposed to add depth to the sims personalities even thought they merely give us anything rather than moodlets (at least the activities ones) which should be changed too.

But i think the activities avaible as likes and dislikes are wrongly tied to skills only which is pretty controversial because this category is also called "Hobbies and skills" but only focus on skills.

And even now with the Activities Likes/Dislikes being centered around skills there are skills left out of the it like:

- Herbalism (Outdoor Retreat)
- Vampire Lore (Vampires)
- Bowling (Bowling Night)
- Parenting (Parenthood)
- Pet training (Cats and Dogs)
- Veterinary medicine (Cats and Dogs)
- Archeology (Jungle Adventure)
- Selvadorian Culture (Jungle Adventure)
- Flower arranging (Seasons)
- Fabrication (Eco Lifestyle)
- Juice fizzing (Eco Lifestyle)
- Mediumship (Supernatural)
- Entrepreneurship (High School Years)

So my suggestion is to add more hobbies that aren't skill related. Here's an example of hobbies avaible on clubs dos and don'ts that aren't only skill related:

  • For example my sims could dislike Reading Books and like Watching TV.

  • Hopefully they can add to make a lil more personable but I do find it interesting that if a person dislikes wellness and go to the spa they will get an uncomfortable mood let but what if they like yoga but hate massages.

  • I have always felt the likes/dislikes system lacking and I try to put mods in my game to add more choices. Honestly, I wish EA would concentrate on things like this instead of adding more CC to the game.

  • But I miss TS2 Interest, I mean the sims read and watch TV but the truth it's too generic.

With Interests system, the sims could prefer a specific topic :

    • Magazines about sports and watch Sports TV channel
    • Horror movies and books

An opportunity to introduce new genres for book like :

    • Horror to scare teen and adult sims (Stephen King) but Macabre sims wouldn't be scared.
    • Detective novel to be focused and increase their Logic skill
