Not sure where to post this but ...
Does anyone know how to disable the adverts on start up of the Sims 4? I open the game and before I can even get to the main menu I have two full screen ads - one for the newest pack and another for the current event going on.
Driving me crazy, have to dismiss each one just to get to the main screen! Talk about in your face advertsing, not a fan.
Please please please let me know if I can disable them (couldn't see an option in the setting) or if there is a mod that will get rid of them - I alread have a mod that changes the main screen but these ads still appear.

there's not an option in the settings. I don't use mods, so I don't know if there's one. The only advice I can give you is to play in offline mode, like that the pop-up will not appear.

That shouldn't be the solution though, I shouldn't have to keep putting my game onffline and then back on again (so I can use the gallery). Not having a go at you, as that probably is the only way to stop these intrusive/very annoying ads without a mod.
I just can't find a mod - again shouldn't have to be looking for such a mod in the first place. It's all just very frustrating (especially when I dare to stop and think how much money has been spent on packs...)
i cant even play the game because of the pop ups, the screens turns black when I close the ads.
I have this SAME issue. I have to force quit my game and re-open and sometimes have to do this multiple times. Today I've done SIX times already and it didn't me into the game!!!
I was having the same issue. Instead of exiting out the ad, click any link within it, it should take you to the main start up screen and from there exit out the ad/buy window.
I'm having the exact same issue, I'm looking at this forum right now because I've just had to force close my game twice due to the ads glitching out the home screen :'(

Worst part; I own almost all of the EPs so like now when I log in, I get two big full screen adverts, and lately it still shows the newest pack- WHICH I HAVE?!?!
Why is it still trying to get me to buy something I've already purchased? Like, I've spent my fair share of money on this game, all I want is to not be advertised more micro transactions while I'm playing! I was pretty upset when they added the Store option to the UI a few months back too, like jeez EA.

I am having this same issues for days now! It forces me to play offline which I hate because I use The gallery a lot… they need to get rid of the ad pop ups!
I downloaded the Mystic Dreams loading screen mod from Curseforge after seeing it recommended on Reddit. It might get rid of the default (ads included) loading screen and fix the issue. It's hard for me to tell, because once the ads have been shown it seems like there's a cooldown before they're shown again.

SimMattically has a mod out for free on Patreon to get rid of the fullscreen ads.
Playing offline helps too, for anyone not using mods
