@RainbowPandaBHello, We need to ask if you are currently using any type of Mod or Custom Content for your game? If you are.... this could be the cause for the issues you are experiencing.
If you do use mods or Custom Content, please do the following....
1.) Remove your mods folder from the game for now
2.) Delete the localthumbcache.package file in your Documents> EA Folder> Sims 4. This will ensure any memories the game might retained of mods or cc is removed.
3.) Create a Temporary new game with a new sim you have created and try playing again and see what happens.
If you find this issue is cleared up with your new game, you may need to sort through your Mods folder, as you have one or more Mods or Custom Content (or both) that is outdated and needs to be updated to the latest game patches/updates EA creates for our games.
If this still does not help, you may try to repair the game through the EA app.
If neither of these are helping you, please give us more details as to what you are experiencing so we can assist you further.
