[Get Famous] Mistranslated Names for Brazilian Portuguese

I really enjoyed the latest update for Sims 4 with the changes to the family tree. But I do have a feedback about something: I play the game in Brazilian Portuguese, and there are some iconic Sims whose names were mistranslated since Get Famous came out: Dustin Broke, Holly Alto and Dirk Dreamer. In the last update, only Dustin's surname was correctly fixed, but his name is still wrong. Now, we can confirm that both Holly and Dirk are the same old ones from previous Sims games because of their family trees.

  • Dustin Broke, Brazilian Portuguese official name -> Eric Malpaga / Mistranslated: Diego Malpaga (his surname is fixed now because Skip Broke's name was correctly localized)

  • Holly Alto, Brazilian Portuguese official name -> still Holly Alto / Mistranslated: Azevinho Alto (it was a literal translation but her name was Holly in Brazilian Portuguese in Sims 3)

  • Dirk Dreamer, Brazilian Portuguese official name -> Duque nas Nuvens / Mistranslated: Rick Sonhador

I can see this is a petty question, but it annoys me so much since Get Famous launched because there are new players who will hardly know about these Sims since they have completely different names now, even when they are supposed to be the same ones from older games.

Thanks for the attention and please tell me if I am posting this in the right topic discussion!

  • It is not a petty question. Portuguese translations from The Sims have always been known by being funny and somewhat cozy. They were part of our childhoods. Of course we will want our traditional names back.
