There are some creative and helpful suggestions here! 🙌 I love the idea of having holiday-specific decorations tagged for the main holidays in the game (I'm specifically thinking of Harvestfest & Winterfest.) Also having an inventory category for sorting and finding Holiday items would be awesome! I do see the category Activities & Skills > Life Event Activities, which does help. Though having the auto-add decorations to areas of the inside of the house may only work for something like hanging lights around doorways/windows or something along that line, which may be complicated to designate, I think it would be great if items tagged for certain holidays, such as Winterfest, could be stored in the decoration box, if you like, and would be clustered together in the box's inventory for easy viewing and access, if someone wanted to this. However, even within Household Inventory it would be easier to decorate and store holiday items if they had tags like that which also clustered them together.
Another example of a type of 'holiday/event' filter that could use some love is I just went in 'Show All' and used the filter item that is in there for 'Special > Birthday'. This is the result (possibly tagged as Sims 4 birthday 'free items'? but...) the items have nothing to do with items I may want to find easily to throe a birthday party for a sim, which is what I would expect to see.

Yeah I thought it was a reach for the autoremove and put back decorations because people might move stuff or something. It is just frustrating because without something like that, the holiday decorations are pretty much trash cluttering up my build buy. I'm not going to all out decorate for one day of a holiday and then have to go take it all back down again. That is why I posted here because maybe if someone had an idea that would really work well and not be hard to implement, then someone might listen.
I think it would be awesome if the decoration box let you remove items you had stored previously to it that had a holiday tag and when it removed them re-store them into the box... though that would likely be too complicated. However, I agree about not wanting to deal with the mess for decorating for a holiday, so if I was able to store the items I bought with a certain holiday tag in the box it would make it much simpler than hunting though my inventory or BB. And it would help a huge amount if the holiday tag clustered them in BB, in inventory, and in the decoration box, and via filters, if that could work.
