Would be nice if they cold make stuff on demand and then ship it. Now you can make whatever you want and then just sell from inventory and call it work from home. I think it would be nice if there were an element of unpredictability where you would need to also source ingredients like houndstooth dye for a carpet or chocoberries for a chocolate cake.
Honestly, the devs would be smart to create inception gameplay (gameplay within gameplay, but like an app game within the game) in Sims 4 if they wanted to be smart about it.
They need to fix DO first off. But basically catering/order filling gameplay can get quite addicting. From restaurant orders to baking/store orders. They can do everything from skill crafted items, to gardening, fishing, etc.
They do not even have to be very complex orders, you might even have it random generated as long as the player as the applicable packs. And unlike careers with daily tasks, tasks can be initiated by player "Take Order" maybe even as an Event, and do as many or as little orders a day/week.
