I just don't get why devs don't have a collaboration project/system with modders who find fixes on their own anyways and early access players/influencers to find the bugs and issues before going to the general public. Are we not at that day and age yet?
You basically have a volunteer and free beta tester base ready to troubleshoot and even fix the issues (even if in some cases they are just Band-Aids) for you. So you can still focus your hired team to focus on new content more and still manage to not neglect bugs and issues. Instead of expecting players to just deal with the issues or to fix on their own with mods.
TLDR: If a modder can fix an issue or bug, then there is no excuse why it isn't in a patch fix. Provide the fix officially, and credit the modder who made/found the fix. Work with your community; not against it.
