Let us Search furniture by Theme

A lot of furniture is clearly intended to be part of themed "sets," but is difficult to search for even when using by-pack and by-style filters in Build mode.

For example, take the base game "Cordelia" themed furniture. These are fancy, expensive furniture pieces in the base game, that tend to have similar style and color swatches. These furniture pieces, while generally named after pirate or ocean related concepts, don't share a consistent word labeling them that can be searched to find them. (Compare to the V.A.U.L.T. or Mega Mission furniture sets.) They also are mostly tagged as "Queen Anne" style, but one or two pieces don't show up under this tag filter. For example, here's some Cordelia chairs:

  • Arrrmed Living Chair
  • Arrrmed Dining Chair
  • Arrrmless Dining Chair
  • Captain Rodrigo de Pablo Dining Chair
  • Deep Delight Living Chair

Everything here is tagged as "Queen Anne"... except the Deep Delight Living Chair.

I've run into similar issues with what I'm calling the "swan bathroom" set in Get Famous - not searchable by a consistent naming scheme, and one piece of the set (the shower) isn't tagged as the same style as the bathtub, toilet, etc.

It isn't as deep as you are making it. Your original post made it sound like you struggled to find the items. At least that was the impression I was given. The filters wirk as intended. The one that isn't tagged as queen anne can also work and looks similar to other furniture in the base game. Personally, I just filter by pack, but then I am not such a stickler for the way things are tagged in-game.

Isn't there already a search function by furniture style? It is in the same place as searching by color, special (event content), by dlc pack, or by maker pack. I was able to get everything you just listed to come up by just using the filters.

I described using the "search by furniture style" function by using the "Queen Anne" style filter and "Base Game" pack filter, to look for all Princess Cordelia themed furniture. I don't understand why you're replying to me as if I'm oblivious to this function.

Only 1 item just needed just base game as the filter to be found. All the others could be found with both base game and queen anne in the tag filter. I found everything you listed easily by filtering by just by base game and then going in by room function to filter it farther.

That one item being missing from the filter means the "style" filter isn't working as a way to find the entire matching furniture set. And scrolling through the entire "base game" tag without any furniture style filter is tedious. Also, I did not even remotely list the entire set of Princess Cordelia themed furniture, which extends far beyond those five chairs. Just because this chair is the only issue within base game I was able to identify, doesn't mean there aren't even more outliers in both base game and in expansions - I already identified a furniture set in Get Famous that is mostly associated with the "Queen Anne" style filter, but where a shower that is clearly intended to be part of the set isn't included in the style filter, and thus style the filter becomes useless for finding the "complete set". How am I suppose to trust that these are the only Buy catalog items, across the entire game in all packs, that suffer from this issue?

Are you using too many filters at once in the search? If you know the pack something is located, just filter by pack. If you know the style you want search by that style. If you know the room function click that to narrow the search. The color filter also helps me if I am looking for an item in a particular color, but can not remember the pack.

I am literally only using a single pack filter (such as "base game" or "get famous") and a single style filter (such as "queen anne") to try to find matching furniture sets. I want to be able to find every member of a "matching set" of furniture within a pack, regardless of room, instantly with minimal filters, including furniture I am not yet aware exists. The existing system is failing to do this for me.

Either every piece of furniture that's supposed to be part of a matching set should be corrected have the exact same style tags as every single other members of the exact same furniture set, or we need a new way to filter furniture.
